I wish I took pics of the one we did years ago. The frame rails are spaced at 34" - same as any HDT that takes the big transmissions. We swapped a "stacked" t-case that sent the front driveshaft under the trans, instead of beside it. Used a Peterbuilt clutch box. Similiar to a 916 set up. Look...
Tell me, what makes it no longer a 5t rated truck? A single rockwell is rated in excess of 5T, rims and tires yep, more than 5T. Frame hasn't changed He probably used 5t or more springs? Yep, 5t or more.
Bring it, ye one disco ball wonder :).
You'll still be talking about this and a trans swap in 2020. I am driving my truck now.
:)
If you're swapping turbos, get away from the archaic/expensive Holset line.
Besides, the MW pump still has more fuel than the HX50 has air. HX50 is still 5.9L...
See, this is where discoball and I split... even though I gave him the idea of a bigger pump, that I got from Neverenough.
The BoschMW is more than enough. Right now, my truck is too much fuel, with the new turbo, charge air cooler, etc.
Give it timing and it's plenty.
I have to remove fuel...
I have them on my Bobber... can't say about the rear duals. I cut an axle off. Driving the 16's is not much different than driving the 14's... then again, I went with better rear brakes and turned up my motor. Over all, I like them better than the 14R20's on my Wrecker.
