I am going to replace my dash speakers in my M1008.
I know there are two 3 1/2's and I think the center speaker is 4x10. Is this correct?
I know about Crutchfield and I am not looking for stereo sound, just better sound. I am not interested in door panel speakers.
So do I need a pair of...
BWD S603, NAPA ST85 or CUCV Electric has the best price if you can wait on an order. They all work. I think it is just preference. I'm partial to BWD. That said, I really like CUCV Electric parts so far.
I would go to a spring shop and get an estimate for new springs. Also make sure I had a sway bar if you don't have one. I don't know about M1009's whether they do or don't. My shocks would be Bilstein. Last a good quality front stabilizer (shocks still would be Bilstein).
That's just me...
The jumper looks like it might have come from your neutral safety switch. Look at the one in my link and see what you think.

My diff covers look good and I no longer have little drips on my driveway. I like them. I could easily tell the difference in my OEM CUCV and new diff covers. Both will work, the SOLID brand is stronger by far.
My wife said why don't I sell that old truck.
I showed her my secret stash of parts I have been slowly buying and told her how much I spent over time and how I couldn't afford to buy them all at once because I had to research and get the best price. She just looked at me and walked off...
Nope...they clean up good and work fine. I am keeping mine just in case.
The SOLID diffs I bought are not that expensive and look good to me. People notice them too.
I finally changed my differential covers on my M1008.
Awhile back I bought the SOLID brand covers because of price. The quality is great. I did need a couple of longer bolts on the rear diff because of a bracket and I got Lubelocker gaskets and did not use the liquid gasket they sent me.

Yep, that's the other way. Some prefer to use just the button for warming the gp's.
It has always been my experience when the lights get bright and dim you need an alternator or alt rebuild, whichever way you decide.
FYI- There are two blue wires. I think it is the second wire, which is light blue, next to the purple wire on the end. I think that is right. It's been awhile for me.
If you spliced that way it is not your problem and must be something else...
No. Some people do that, but I don't recommend it or you may have additional problems. I did install a button for emergencies only by splicing into the light blue wire going to the controller card under the dash. I never use it, but it does work. (first 2 pics below)
I would study and do...
You can use a Duralast/Alternator DL7157 on the DS only because it does not need to have a isolated ground or a Wilson Electrical, Part Number: WIL 90014277 that does have a ground, but is expensive. PS must have the isolated ground.
You can buy a rebuild kit from CUCV Electric and you can buy...
