In the process of swapping out my 10 bolts for a one ton setup. And im puzzled
Finally found a guy on craigslist with a dana 60 front that has the passanger side pumpkin however it's not a chevy dana 60. Off a dodge w350.
Will this front end work or will I have to find a d60 front off an old...
Just finished the fuel filter conversion on my 1009. Followed all the instructions and it fired right up. Went inside for a half hour or so then headed back out to discover a nice big puddle of fuel under the truck. All my connections are solid and no leaks are coming from the new filter or...
Yes, M1009 and no bent bracket, put the truck up on jack stands and checked all the bearings but didn't find anything I thought to be a bad bearing. All I found was a bad caliper that needs replaced.
Over the winter I snapped the rear passenger side axle and got it all fixed up. Bought a kit from summit with a bearing, seal, shaft and new lugs and studs. Put about 800 miles on it since then.
Recently I've noticed a rubbing noise whenever I turn left and the harder I turn the louder the...
Had a caliper go out about a week ago, changed it and everything was good until this morning. Had almost no brakes and discovered a slight puddle of fluid on the ground under the caliper.
Bled the line and their still very spongy and I cant seem to figure out why it's leaking. aua
Thanks for the link.
New problem, the shaft I pulled does not fit. Lugs are bigger in diameter and the shaft I pulled is longer. I thought it was out of a 10 bolt but I guess not, maybe they changed the design over the years?
Long story short, broke an axle shaft on my m1009, bought a new shaft, went too put it in and rounded the bolt that holds the gear pin in.
I have no idea how to get it out and need my 1009 running before tomorrow as its my DD.
Had it on my 1009 a few months back when it started to get real cold at night. It stopped once the motor got warm but some spray on belt dressing fixed the squeak altogether.
I just bought an offroad light kit and got it all mounted and wired up but I have a question about the power source. Their 100w lights and I don't want to wire them to the fuse block.
That being said, would it be safe to run the power wire off one of the positive battery terminals? I know it's...
But the Valspar looks great also.....decisions decisions..... I'll head to the store this weekend and check it out. Ultimately the paint I want would be the most UV resistant of the two seeing as how my truck sits outside all the time. Both brands look good so this is a tough one.
Definitely going with OD green and like gunboy said if I want a camo pattern I'll add it later. Thanks for the input, pics will hopefully be posted this spring after I get her all painted up and looking like new.
