    Winch Shear Pin Fabrication

its not only in the alloying of the aluminum that counts, its the level of heat-treat, such as 6061 t6, t6 being the heat treat number. There is a large can of worms to be opened if you don't know exactly the material you are working with.

    Winch Shear Pin Fabrication

9/32=.28" If your holes in your winch drive measure more than that(measure 2 directions) you will continue to shear pins no matter what you put in. If there is ANY play in the hole in comparison to the pin it will let the pin shift, and the stresses shift from sheer to tinsile strength. The pin...

    Alcohol Evaporator, Block Heater etc.

I use a magnetic heater on my oil pan for cold weather starts, along with a cheap blue tarp over the hood to the ground to help hold in a little heat. I use the mag heater so it can service several vehicles with it. This simple method has helped me through many winters with diesels, though it...

sounds like you have it all figured out wallew, let us know how it turns out. I've thought about re-powering mine if my multi gives out, but never considered the 6.2 as a prospect, would make an interesting article considering all the 6.2s out there.

    Putting the Deuce to work

Yes they are very useful for the price, try buying a cherry pick-up truck for $2-3k, not gonna happen. The real bonus is tactical trucks will go where no civilian truck will, and haul a load at the same time! Maybe we should keep all this info secret, may make my next truck more expensive.

    Engine Swap

I would stick with the multi, be patient and you will stumble accross one. I have found mine to be a good unit, if a lottle noisy. There are surplus dealers on-line that have multis for sale for the kind of money that guy wants for a crank. Then theres all the swap meets around the country, they...

M35A2 on top of Sugarloaf USA!

So in a situation like this do you get to wait for all the ice to fall from the tower? You couldn't pay me enough for that climb on a good day, let alone with any amount of ice overhead. From what altitude did the ice fall from that crushed the fence?

    Deuce Operating Temps

At zero degrees you will need to cover the entire radiator, unless you are really working it hard at low speeds. My idea would be a piece of plywood with a shutter to help with air flow on warmer days. Paint the plywood O.D. and call it a big deal.
