Worth it? Not in the sense that you would get your money back. However, having a complete rig, truck & trailer, all neat & matching would be pretty sweet. That has some intrinsic value. Don't think of it as an "investment," think of what value it has to you, for form, functionality...

I'm sorry, it just seems flat-out wrong for local law enforcement such as a sheriff's office to have an APC. I just can see a justification. This doesn't seem to fit the old-fashioned "protect and serve" mission; it looks more like "kill and destroy."

Re: help You think that's tough, Pennsylvania not only requires a title on the trailer, but you have to already HAVE a title (to transfer from previous owner) to get one!

RE: trailer Hey, OIFVet, I have a Cherokee and a M101. I haven't loaded the trailer down yet, but it tows empty like it's barely there. It's a little wide for an XJ, but the load is fine.

That thing is IMMACULATE. I'm sure they never look that good while on active duty... And how does someone get the time necessary to make a truck that great? Amazing work, congrats.

RE: contest Don't forget, if your truck's data and specs say it's rated to tow 10,000 pounds, and you tow 20, your insurance company will screw you over if you get in trouble. Count on it. The truck can certainly handle more than the lawyers can. ;)

Mike Pop - thanks a bunch for the info. I'm going to keep my eyes open for a pair of decent second-hand 16" radials, and get the ancient NDTs off of my trailer.

Can anyone who has a real cover for an M101 trailer give me dimensions? I'm thinking about having my wife make me one. GMA has kits available for a couple hundred bucks, but that's a bit pricey for me.
