1985 m1009 35k miles Just changed: rad hoses, heater hoses, thermostat, flushed/replaced coolant, new block heater. I drained the coolant, flushed with water a couple time, then added 1/2 gallon of vinegar filled with water and let it warm up. Drained that and flushed with water again, then...

This weekend i changed: thermostat, rad hoses, heater hose, and changed/flushed coolant. I also added a block heater. Then I took it wheelin and had some fun!

make sure all the wires stayed on the doghead relay. PO on my 09' didnt do too well installing it and that happened to me. ****, you shoulda seen the radio and cig lighter wiring....

cleaned and repacked wheel bearings last night. found a tie rod end to be bad so ill be replacing that and getting it aligned tomorrow for the trip to VA this weekend.

yankee lake has some decent trails that really dont beat the **** out of your rig. i go sometimes but stay out of the pit and off the rocks. its usually a pretty good drunken time :beer:

I ran a tank of 50% oil 50% diesel and had no problems yet, I'm upping it next time. I talked to a guy the other day that runs straight wmo in his 6.5 and has for 10 years. I don't feel comfortable doing that, but i think 80% oil 20% diesel is acceptable. I'm trying it. I have a spare set...

im in e. palestine ohio which is an hour from pitt. I work in pit a few times a year though and use my cucv as field service when i do.
