Tlauden has the right idea - you could sell it, not let the guy leave driving it, and write issue on the receipt.
My thought is the pieces could get jammed up in the gears and cause a lock up.
From my experience, that kind of stuff usually just busts teeth off- the weight of the truck being...
Personally, I would be very reluctant to sell it like that, much less drive it that way.
It is a breakdown waiting to happen at the most inconvenient time.
Unreliable.
You know there is a big problem.
Continuing to run it with the bearing busted up like that is going to tear up the transfer...

Headlights are 3 terminal lamps - offset blade is common to hi & low filaments, 1 of the parallel blades is hi, one low.
Purchase 1- 24V DPDT relay and some wire.
Example - could be either side:
Left lamp - ground the offset blade.

I like the new colors. White on gray much easier to read.
Suggestions - First page is crowded. Would it be possible to move the gray steel soldiers header closer to the Eastern Surplus ad, and eliminate some of the blank space?

I have smaller NIMH. They are far superior to NICD - I have not found any memory effect, take high charge rates, greater power density, and no failures in over 5 years of use.
However, the price would be prohibitive for this application - unless someone knows of a surplus source.

Steering box is a good guess, as is play in steering gear.
The problem with violent death shake is it will damage good parts and loosen stuff up.
I have seen steering boxes wrecked by this.

Tires look to be excellent.

NOS or top quality rebuild only.
I installed a 100 amp replacement from a well known auto parts store. It looked great, windings were identical wire size, fresh and properly consolidated, bearings new and tight...
It worked fine until the first time he turned plow lights on with cabin heater...
If you want to go to the trouble, you will find most HOA's do not fully abide by their bylaws. Things like required number of meetings per year, # of members present to vote or hold a meeting, timely recording and posting of meeting minutes, notices to homeowners.
A good lawyer with HOA...
I could be wrong, and probably am -
Seems like this system could be changed to pushbutton. Push button energizing glow plugs for 5- 15 seconds, depending on temperature before engaging starter. On the Diesels I am familiar with, once running, glow plugs are turned off. User would let go...
Idea [thumbzup] We are allowed to use magnetic signs on trucks here. If you can in Mich- then you don't have to mess up truck. Put magnetic signs on when on public roads, take off for parades and off road use.
However, in NJ, unlike Mich from what they tell me - if you drive on public road...
