Rear wheel lock up while braking

It shouldn't but if it is not functioning correctly due to contamination, wear, or damage then it may. If a valve or other component is changing the amount of flow or pressure to one or more lines then the amount of brake force will be different which would cause one or more brakes to lock the...

Rear wheel lock up while braking

If there is buildup inside of a line or manifold reducing the inner diameter it would have a tendancy to decrease flow and cause an imbalance in brake force. That would seem to explain why there is flow on both sides yet stronger brakes on one side as compared to the other.

Rear wheel lock up while braking

I'm thinking use inline liquid flow and pressure guages on the brake line and take a reading on each side to see if the fluid energy is balanced. If not, then work your way toward the master cylinder to figure out where the imbalance is coming from. Full disclosure: I have never tryed this...

spring brake problem on the M923A2

From what I understand the priority valve on the wet tank will disrupt air from accesories like the horn and wipers. Mine stuck and that was the symptom along with the air not blowing off and constantly building. Took it off and worked some ATF into it by actioning the spring with a small...

What civy grease to use for M939...

Thanks Artisan, being available in tubes is attractive to me as I'll be using the trusty hand pump grease gun. I think that drained axle boot is going to take a whole tube itself. I notice the Kendal and the Lucas both are high load and high temperature rated.

    CB radio

[salute] Sir, thank you Sir. I will be putting in a communication system into our truck this winter and may try to find similar pieces to incorporate. Specifically I need a mic & 1/4" line-out for the rear crew area, and a mic, 1/8" line-in, military speaker, and 1/8" headphone jack in the...

M989 I'm getting ready to delve into brake repair on. Wheels turn freely with no air and the brake chambers are not caged. It was that way when we aquired it. Found one of the brake chamber brakets is broke off from the axle at the weld.

What civy grease to use for M939...

It's getting close to the end of the warm weather season and I am wanting to hit the many red plastic capped grease fittings found around the truck. I also just replaced a tore zipper seal on the front hub and most all of the grease was lost during the process(what a messy job!). Is there a...

M35A2 low power, white smoke & rough idle

My guess would be intesnse heat is what degrades the gaskets. Because the place between the cylinders has the least amount of mass it gets hotter degrading quicker. Using the highest quality and heat rated gasket available may help extend the frequency between replacing them and reduce the...
