Looks great! Just a tip or two, cut your patch first then use that to size your cutout on panel to be patched. Also leave a gap aprox. the dia. of your weld wire. The best for last, use copper as a backer the weld will not stick and is a heat sink.

My bad, I was unaware the company operating these had bought the rights to build this former military workhorse. They now produce these for the civi. market, I found this out after a quick youtube search on Heavy Lift Helicopters. Still cool to watch close up.

They are lifting AC units onto the roof at a new plant for Dow. As we left the plant the news crew was arriving. We are taking our grandson to watch and get some pics/video to upload.

edit: The main source for these helo's was the military.
This thread reminded me of when I was a sub contractor on the "Z bridge". They used a surplus 10 ton to haul the precast segments up to the crane for placement. These segments ran around 160 tons. I could not find any photos, but I'll keep looking. I tried but could not attach story.
