So is there just one temperature sensor that sends the signal to all the various cold functions (fast idle, cold advance and glow plugs)? If so, does anyone have the part number? There are a couple of different "coolant temperature sensor" parts listed in various places around the 'net.

There's something else in the circuit. I haven't yet figured out what it is, but the relay can click without the plugs going on. I verified this (I think) today when I wired a manual glow plug switch, tested it with the truck hot, relay clicked, but the glow plugs didn't come on as verified by...

I'm sure the prices will increase as the supply decreases, but I think it'll depend what you're looking for. I'd bet that dented, dinged, scratched up, used for work deuces and CUCVs won't increase in price that much, especially CUCVs. Original, low-mileage, shined up for parades type trucks...

Weren't those deuces replaced with something? I mean, I never underestimate the ability of those in power to do stupid, stupid things, but something tells me that the Guard and other branches of the service aren't just selling off all their vehicles and becoming immobile.

Anything can be found for the right price if you know where to look. Right now, I could buy any one of several CUCVs, in running condition. I *chose* to buy mine second-hand, because then I didn't have to deal with dragging it home and seeing what was wrong with it, I could test drive it and...

So what? Even if they stopped releasing them, it's not like there aren't plenty of them second, third, fourth and fifth hand floating around. Between local and state governments and various other departments, and private buyers selling them off- it's not like CUCVs are rare or hard to come by...

My local AutoZone, Advance Auto Parts, NAPA and CarQuest all carry it in various sizes, up to about a quart. Haven't checked Pep Boys.

It's the 2.8L V6 that I'm thinking of, there are lots of them in junkyards with 700R4s attached to them. I'm just not sure of the bolt pattern. Don't most of the 4.3L cars/trucks have the 4L60E?

So the smallblock and big block use the same bolt pattern? Do you know if it's the same as the V6 bolt pattern?

Speaking of 700R4s, what bolt pattern does the 6.2 use to mount to the transmission? Is it the smallblock pattern? The 4cyl/V6 pattern? Big block pattern? I'm pretty sure there were a few differences in the bellhousings but I'm not all that familiar with them as I've only uninstalled, rebuilt...
