Thanks guys:roll:. I did Google it! All I saw was a standard glass type 250v 3a fuse. Didn't ever call them "slow blow" fuses. I guess it's a difference in terminology. I can barely believe a 3a fuse is gonna hold up in a fuel pump circuit. I didn't do the math yet to figure the difference in...
I would like to see a pic of a "slow blow fuse". I am familiar with most all automotive fuses but I kinda need to see it to correctly identify the fuse. I've got a temporary fuse in there, but a 20a fuse for a 12v system isn't the same as a 24v fuse I imagine. Any help?
@southdave, 30 psi? I would be careful with that. Stock pump output is 5-7 psi according to the T.M. I read. I'd hate to see you blow a line out in the engine compartment or something and start a fire. Just sayin'.
5 amp? I went and took the cover off the top of the fuel pump cover and found a "military field fix" was done on mine with a couple of crimp connecters and a standard 20A mini fuse which was blown. They neglected to get all the wiring back under the cover and had smooshed it with the cover to...
I was going to drain some fuel out of the fuel filter to investigate the extended crank condition that I've noticed on my Deuce. I had the wife turn the main switch on while I listened at the tank and I got nothing! I am soooo glad I didn't drain out the filter before checking this. I suppose I...
I like the build! I think you'll have good times with the kids for sure. I was thinking after seeing how much room the bunks take up, how about fold down bunks (like cots hinged against the wall that fold up when not in use? If space is a premium, the folding feature would be nice in the event...
Your Mass Airflow Sensor in most vehicles does NOT do well getting oil from a K&N filter in it. As a GM tech, I can tell you that any issues caused by useing a K&N filter are not covered by the manufacturer's warranty. I have indeed seen these filters screw up the MAF sensor.
This bulletin is...
I did try to search out threads before asking this, but didn't find anything,so here goes: Has anybody seen anybody post up replacing/ repairing rusted out cab corners on a deuce? Mine has rusted out the driver's rear corner and I was trying to figure out how I was going to fix it. I am not a...
My EUC took about 8 days to come back. I had mine delivered to my house and have been waiting for my SF-97 for 2-3 weeks now. Things happen slowly after all the auction frenzy dies down so be patient. At least you can tinker with it once you get it home and begin waiting for the title to arrive...
I just bought my first MV from GL about a month ago. I spent 2,701 (plus buyers fees). So about 3 grand. I had it transported to my home for $800 to find out that it runs great! Good batteries and brakes work nicely. 2900 miles on the ODO and 210 hours on the engine. New canvas, had all the troop...
I'm not sure I could empty out one side of my basement into a deuce. They're not that tall inside the back with the bows and canvas. Perhaps if you stacked boxes only in the back to capacity, pulled a trailer with the car on it and your wife followed with a smaller U- Haul with just furniture in...
Nice truck! I am now suffering from tire envy! It'll be a while before I can even think about getting some. The truck itself was expense enough for the moment.
Generally if you can shift it with the engine off but not with it on, you either have a siezing pilot bearing or a clutch/ pressure plate issue. Stretched bolts on the pressure plate will generally cause a slipping clutch and could cause incomplete release of the disc with the pedal pushed in. I...
My EUC cleared in 8 days. I paid a transporter to haul mine and glad I did. My truck runs great, but what if it broke down? Any "savings" you might hope to gain by driving it goes down the tubes if you break down in an unfortunate place. I paid $800 to transport from Ft.Indiantown Gap to...
Sorry not to follow up. I didn't purchase the truck (foolish mistake most likely) and bought one from GL. I am very pleased with the one I bought and guess what, it has a wonderfully simple push button that works perfectly! I concluded that it was the starter at fault on the Air Force truck...
