In the specs that I found, (this is curb weight) the M35 wieghs in at 13,030 lbs and the M109 is at 14,930 lbs. You still have to count for the bed on the M35.
Seems to me that the box is around 1500 to 2000 lbs. I looked for some specs but did not find any. (all though I didn't look to hard. ) I will look to see how the box is mounted to the frame later.
How would a set up like this work on a M109? On each top corner of the box there is an eye for lifting of the box, would these eyes be able to handle the load? You could cross the cables in the form of an X to help stabalize the A-frame. Just a thought for discussion.
New bumper numbers. 2/135 INF 34th ID is my old Battalion. Belonged to C company and the 413 was the number that was on the truck when I bpught it. The 34th was known as the Red Bulls, so that is why I the Red Bull on the bumper. I hope you guys approve.
I don't know how water tight it is but the manuel says it was designed to transport sensitive electronic eqipment in a enviroment proof container.

I am a new member here and am planning on taking the M109.
I am just look at doing it in steps. I would like to make it water tight, but for now I am just looking for the snorkel because it would be the easiest to do. I really like what ccequipment has done on the "double deuce".
Thanks for all the input everyone.
Doug
This is a great site, thank you for your hard work. I have one suggestion. I am new to the site and it would be nice to know more about local members and events. I belong to another site www.ar15.com/ and they have an area for each state. It might be a nice addition to this site.
I have been thinking of putting a snorkel on my M109, but not sure how would be the best to go about making one. Does anyone have pictures of trucks with a decent snorkel, home made or otherwise?
In Minnesota my "Y" plate are $109 a year and through State Farm Ins, I have Collector ins at$108 a year. Down side for Ins is I can only put 2000 miles a year ( that might be tough :-D)
