I went outside today to start my truck to do some running around. I get in and cycle my glow plugs for about 10-15 seconds. turn the key and it doesn't want to fire over. stop and recycle the plugs, turn the key to start, cranks for a few seconds then just stops. I can hear the starter relay...
I went from the power on the 12v battery to the switch to the power side of the relay. I can try wiring it your way over the weekend though and see if that helps
A while back I put a manual glow plug button in my m1009. At first I was able to get them to cycle with the key on and get an after glow. Iv taken off the instrument cluster panel once since then and now I can only cycle them with the key off. Im pretty sure that I did t short any wires...
Just bought an arctic fox oil pan heater due to toe cold climate. i was told by my parts guy at work that 10 minutes should be sufficient to heat the oil enough for a smooth crank over, however turns out that doesn't seem to be the case. is there a point where it becomes dangerous to leave the...
Im thinking of just getting batteries from work if they fit. truck battieries, 925 cca and using the same cables that they use where it is a stud and nut instead of a clamp since i need new cables anyway.
And FYI, mine is called the monster 8)
wishing i had a battery charger right now:???: also wish that i could get my batteries disconnected from each other. for some reason all of the terminal clamps became melded together so when i replace the batteries im gonna have to replace the cables also. also sure that my generator one is...
been having trouble starting my M1009 in the cold lately, pretty sure the batteries are shot on it. I have no idea how old they are but even with having my oil pan heater on for a while plus having somebody hook up to my first battery (dont know anybody else with a 24v system) it just will not...
Engine has just shy of 79k on it. Pulled the card yesterday and it looks like it has a burn mark on it. Been had to wire in a push button for the plugs a while back because they weren't cycling.
Hmmm. Seems weird that that would only happen for the first couple of minutes right after a cold start up. I knew the plug was bad already but I guess its not out of the question for it to be an injector. Really hope its not though
Iv had a cold misfire for a while now and finally got around to finding which glow plug was bad. Cylinder no. 3 was open so I went to NAPA and got a 60g plug. The blade turned out to be a lot bigger than the one that I pulled out so I had to shave a little bit off the sides (probably not a good...
I ended up buying a four flat harness to be able to hook up a simple trailer. the wires on the harnass are marked for running lights, turn signals and ground. so my real question i guess is am i not going to be able to have brake lights on the trailer when its hooked up?
Im in a bit of a bind. Im about to move out of state and need a trailer to bring my stuff. I was able to deal with the pintle hitch problem, bought a combo one from farm and fleet, but now I need a wiring adapter for the trailer lights. Anybody done a conversion or bought an adapter and can give...
I have had a leak in my fuel tank for a while now and cant seem to fix it so im just gonna need to bite the bullet and buy a new one i think. My problem is that the TMs say that the tank is a 27 gallon tank and everywhere i look i cant find one that is 27. The closest i was able to find was a 25...
well i found the exterior light issue, the fuse was completly melted, replaced it and a few others so thats one issue. now i need to fix the glow plugs.
