I was going to drive the non-winch truck out if everything checks out okay. It's only a 40 mile drive to the house. Leigh's boss actually bought the other w/w truck that I hadn't planned on winning. He's thinking he doesn't want to mess with driving it home so he might bring a triple-axle...
Thanks JT! Should I stay with the 51" belt on the compressor?
Hey Ed, I'm picking up Wednesday morning at 0830. How about you? I have to work Monday so I'm heading to Albuquerque Monday afternoon. Tuesday morning I volunteered to wrap presents for charity with the NM ANG guys. I'd like to...
Thanks for the great tip. I think I'll run to ChineseFreight to grab one of those 1500lb ATV jacks they have on sale every so often and cobble up a wider platform for it.
I have the part number for the compressor belt from an earlier post by Recovry4x4:
Does anyone have the commercial part numbers for the alt belts on the deuce? I'm going to pick up mine and a buddy's new truck next week and I'd feel better if I had a spare set of belts with me.
I'm resurrecting this after a search. I was watching some 11.00x20 NDTs and I'd like to run them as duals. The majority of my driving is in sand so I keep the TP between 25 and 30. Anyone had any experience with the 11.00x20s aired down?
Doors are lockable from the inside so I lock the passenger side door and I riveted and painted over a hasp on the driver's side door. I'm going to add a cut off switch this winter. Anybody using one of these on theirs:

I'm gonna keep my eye out for the buffalo, but I think I'm going to pick up an IBC. Then I can keep the IBC in the back of one of the trucks or in the M101. Anybody know where I can pick up a ~200 gallon clean IBC in the southwest for a reasonable price?
How hard are the M149A2s to come by? And at what price? Looks like they're rare on GL. The other option might be to get an IBC or collapsible water tank from Northern and put it in the M101, but neither has the same aesthetic as the buffalo. My T/T has a 25 gallon tank. Not nearly enough...
I'm curious about how the contract is written. I wonder if Uncle Sugar 'sells' the items to GL(DD1149) and GL keeps whatever profit they make beyond what they paid for it. Or, do they basically sell on consignment and split the profit based on a percentage.
area,
I think I'm gonna try to get a trip in to Silverton next year too. I took these pics last year and I thought it'd be a blast to do some exploring on the trails around the mines and ghost towns. We passed by this primitive campground that I'd really like get back to.
It doesn't make sense to let a contract with GL to dispose of surplus if you plan to warehouse it, but then again I've seen some insane things.
About 10 years ago we ever so carefully disassembled a huge storage array(watch Eraser or Patriot Games and look for the big STK robotic tape library)...
[thumbzup] Agreed...here you go. The M35 will be more suited to trail driving than the 109. Looks like the time drifted for couple minutes there since the posts are out of sync.
