Did you run it before you checked the turbo? If not I would run it for a minute and make sure you get some oil up there and then check it.

Check out some salvage yards. Years ago I got a large boom just for the price of scrap. It just needed a little welding repair and I had a great boom for years.

You probably have an air leak somewhere. I ran my duece for years without a working in tank fuel pump and never had a problem.

It's my understanding that the hydraulic head on the pump is not rebuildable. I hope it's not true. Anyway your problem is probably the hydraulic head. You can find a take off at a fair price and replace yours, but follow the manual.

Is the eye burning when the engine is cold and sitting at idle. If so it's probably unburnt fuel. Wich I would think is no big deal.

I am no expert, but I think you'll be fine with Detroits. I think the trick is to not power into the curves and turns.

If you can, just rent a 4x4 forklift for half a day. Good luck.

I use my duece for work in rough off road jobsites. It's a lifesaver. From experience it does better off road than a mack dump truck. As for needing a CDL. I would check your states laws. In Florida if it's a commercial truck you are required to have a CDL and signs on the doors.

If you havent turned the engine over or moved the gears in the Head you may be able to put the old one back in and then line up the timing marks before removing it again. Good luck.

^^^^Duals are going to give you better floatation than singles. Conveyor belt tracks would be awesome. I am going to have to do that one day.
