I max it out to a whopping 53 mph. Diesels dont like being lugged.
Now maybe with my new 11.00-20.00's and my LDS pump I can get a little more top end out of her.:-D
You missed out on all the fun. :)
Thanks alot Big Case you were very generous to drive all that way and help me out. Anytime you need help I'll be glad to lend a hand if I can.
Thanks for the offers guys. I am buying some tires from Big Case and he will deliver them and tow my Duece for me. :)
Oh and for whoever asked about a wrecker - It would cost alot.
.
Left you a message Big Case.
Anyone in central Florida in the mood to tow? My truck is broke down in Fish Hawk (Riverview) and I need to get it back to Plant City. I could probably pull it back with my 3500 and a strap, but I am not too crazy about doing that. So I am looking for some volunteers. :) Of course I would cover...
I am having to replace the injection pump on my Deuce. I have found a 5 ton pump close to me. The seller says that it should work just fine on my engine. Is this correct? Will it give me more horsepower? If so how much do you think it will raise the hp? Will I need to turn the fuel down to keep...

I thought maybe the filters were dirty so I replaced them today. No difference. :(
Like I said it ran great at 160 degrees all day untill I...
I figured since I had to pull the engine I may as well rebuild the hole thing. I sleeved the cylinder and bought one new piston. All is well and running great. Yes your piston damage looks alot like mine except mine was a little worse.
As for a pyrometer - I have one and was watching it. It...
That melted piston looks like one I just pulled out of my Dodge Cummins. I had a cracked injector nozzle that overfueled big time.
I would suggest having your injectors professionally pressure checked. Also check the exhaust manifold port for that cylinder and see if it has been washed clean...
For those asking about the visor. I emailed caveman trucks about it awhile back. He will sell them. At that time he wanted $250.00. I dont know if thats still the price.
I built my own instead.
