    Engine block madness!

Block welding USED to be a common repair. But finding someone who can correctly do it in today's throw away and buy new world might be difficult. All those experienced have retired or died and kids these days never wanted to learn the skills. It is now a lost art. Finding a good block, however...

    Head Studs Breaking on L134

70? That seems high to me. I just took a used set up to 60 without issue, but that is as far as I would want to go. If you are damaging them at 50, I would first check that your torque wrench is calibrated.

    M37 wiring options

Resurrection from the grave. I found that you can use Packard connectors on Douglas connectors. I had a Packard harness and Douglass gauges and senders. A Douglass shell will fit over the Packard connector like it was made to do it and twist lock into position!

    Gear Oil for Braden Winch

Do NOT use hypoid gear oil (the stuff at your parts store) in a worm gearbox. It doesn't have the shear strength needed and is high sulpher which will damage your yellow metal parts. Use worm gear oil only. Not corn header grease as suggested by one retailer. Worm gear oil is available in quarts...

    Wiring Harness

That even comes with the expensive bits like flasher and lever. I hope it isn't petrified and will give years of service. I've never been that lucky. And, just as a point of forum pendantics. This is the M37 subforum. You might also want to post this in the M35 subforum.

    Wiring Harness

Be careful with a NOS harness. It may be as bad as your existing harness. Time takes its toll on the wire insulation in even the best of conditions and if the harness hasn't been stored "perfectly" it may just crumble in your hands when you go to install it. Many folks in the hobby have learned...

    Wiring Harness

Joe sold VWM to Mike. I have one of the last of Joe's harnesses. The wiring, looming is great. The bushings on the Douglass connectors are garbage. They have all failed (twice). I will be installing a new one from Mike on a truck this week. We'll see if it is any better. I do have a solution...

    Strange Cab on M37

Someone edited the link out of the post. It is an International cab nicely grafted into an M37 cowl.

    Spare tire Door Mount

It is time for you to buy and READ the manuals. Cover to cover. Look closely at the pictures. Most of 90% of what you want or need to know is in them. Then, when you can not find it, Use the parts manual breakdowns. Then try the internet. (What did the world do before the internet?) 5 seconds on...

    PTO lever

He is missing the bracket for the lower lever. So he needs that casting. Also, the pictures of the truck with the lever, your rubber is installed upside down and will trap water.

    24 Volt System jump starting

Many wheelchairs, scooters and some pallet jacks and small forklifts are 24 volt. Finding a charger is pretty easy. Until you get one, disconnecting and charging them individually with a 12 Volt charger is a good way. Jumping with a 12 volt vehicle won't start yours and will damage theirs.
