sorry, my mistake. the original truck is a 998 4 door soft top. its in the process of being converted to a slant back 4 door.

Im guessing i was looking at the wrong TM, as there are a few variants of the hard top troop carriers.
i bought a slant back kit that was mostly complete. what it lacks is the rubber gasket that goes between the hard top and the sponsons. I have the gasket that goes on the sponsons and the tub, the hatch seals, the windshield front seal that is blind riveted down, the gasket that roes around the...
i think il just do this as i already have a soft top frame that was on the truck. il add these when i repaint the vehicle.

I have a 998 thats being converted to a slant back.
the windshield frame i have is for a hard top but does not use the defrost vents to defrost as the windshields are heated on some hmmwv's apparently.
this makes me wonder if i should just spent the 1200$ for a heated windshield and use the...
$170 of stainless steel hardware .... and i have all the nuts and bolts needed. I do need a few of the items that cant be acquired in a hardware store though.

im thinking of taking it to my father in law to have him mill in a slot for the defrost vent.
i can then have a piece welded to the windshield to angle the air towards the windshield on the top.
