So moving on from all this.... got new hoses, installed. Installed new steel brake lines on axles. Hit brakes during bleeding and a hole suddenly blew in the line from front back to master cylinder. Replaced that.
Did new wheel cylinders on front, so now whole brake system from...
Only one blew out a hose. Have ordered a full set, will just redo all of them, if one is going all will. Will replace the boots and master cylinders at same time.
Am just thankful the old guy didn't end up with me driving over his Rav4, few enough Vietnam vets left without me killing them.
Add that to my suburban blowing oil everywhere, and totaling my Lincoln on Sunday, been a great week.
Unfortunately I think half this guy's issue is that he is beyond...
So leave the house today to go get food, deuce is only vehicle I have running right now.
Head down road and a neighbor pulls out without looking, I narrowly miss him and the ditch. Stomped on brakes hard and then lost all brakes. Come back and front left wheel is covered in fluid...
Best thing i ever got for the truck. I have one running right now in back of truck. When parked and on 110 there is a 24 Volt battery tender feeding the batteries, so this thing is on all day making sure i have a hot cuppa all day long.
If you can reuse another connector with cable attached...
Very nice. I cant remember where i got my connector for mine, but it was like $70. I use mine all the time, even when we are stopped and on 110v i run it for a constant hot water supply (I have a 24v charger that runs from my 110 to keep that going).
We are going to setup at this show and help them out a little. Its a small show, starting off this year and i think will be worth a look. I know there are a handful of military vehicles going but am sure they woulde love more....
Its at the Franklin COunty Fairgrounds in Hilliard Ohio. Its...
We are here with both our trucks, and demo versions of our Mini Gun, BAR, 1919, M2, Tommy Gun, SAW and more... Got some stuff in the back of the baby deuce to sell too.
I went with the Halogen upgrade and they work well, now that i wired them in correctly. Their labeling on the wires was incorrect, with the ground and high beam labels switched. Once I worked it out, they are nice.
I did the backup lights today, wires are JUST long enough to meet in middle...
Mine was the 225 mile drive home, with a blown alternator half way, in the rain, with dying lights and no heater.
But when it comes down to it, i love driving it now. Its so easy to track down the road. Sure low speed is a bear, but on the road.... easier then many vehicles i have driven.
Working through the many steps and activities involved in adding west coast mirrors. Nothing has gone right with this but one is done, now on to other side. May well reduce their spread though, they make truck awful wide. Am considering taking brackets of and moving them inward a bit.
