Can someone please point me in the right direction to rebuild my air dryer on my M923a2? I have searched and found a couple threads that kind of help me but still don't leave me confident. I can use the training manual to do the rebuilding, I just need the right parts. The military painted over...
Just insured my M923A2 with Gulfway, it was very easy. The woman I dealt with was very nice and handled everything quickly. I have upgraded liabilities, it runs me about $230 a year.
Thanks for the tip! I was actually reading other people suggesting that a week or so ago, but my dad got started on masking it and we just left it on for now. I'm definitely planning on doing something similar. We used cardboard on our Deuce.
The rain left spots on some of the brown paint because it was the last to be applied, does anyone know of a good way to remove them. If not I'm just going to respray over them.
Yes this was the truck from Aberdeen. Overall the paint was in very good shape, a little faded but almost zero rust. The paint was peeling and bubbling in a few areas and I really wanted a fresh looking paint job. The underside of the truck is beautiful so I didn't have to even touch that which...
I gave the truck a rough sanding wherever I could fit the DA sander, then I took off any badly peeling or bubbling paint with a needle scaler. I tried to feather in any edges but I found it to be near impossible, especially in spots close to corners. It's a military truck, so who cares really. I...
Thanks guys. I'd say it took 1 1/2 gallons of green, 1 gallon of black, and maybe 1/2 gallon of brown. I did not paint the bed camo though or the inside of the cab. I'm planning to give the bed a nice rough black paint job with some rustoleum. Also, I started painting early on Sunday and it was...
I gave the truck a nice fresh Rapco 383 camo paint job this past weekend. It started to rain so I didnt get to finish the tires and a couple other parts. I also installed my new led headlights, tailights and running lights. Painting the camo wasnt as bad as I expected, it was actually easier...
Last weekend we fully repainted our trailer and generator. I will attach some pictures for you guys to check out. I need some help finding a cover for this particular trailer. The plate says its an M103A3, and from my understanding that is really just the chassis designation. I cannot find a...
Thanks guys, I really love the truck. I tried my hand at fixing the dented in fender today after work and I think it came out really good considering what it was like. I took some pictures for you guys.
For some reason the fender seems an inch or two too short when I tried testing it on the...
Hey guys, just picked my new M923 from Aberdeen Proving Grounds today. Im glad we got there early, that place is really confusing. The truck is really nice. Came with a brand new cargo cover, chain hoist and a slave cable. The paint is in pretty good shape as well, just a little bit of the CARC...
Haha that is very true. Do any of you guys know if it is possible to get the truck registered as a 1988 instead of a 1989 so I can get historic plates for it?
Thanks for all the input guys. I am just going to have a guy tow it back for me, just to play it safe. The truck seems like it is in almost new condition, but the legality issues are what concern me.
Hello, I just won a M923 from GL. It was the one displayed at Aberdeen military show. This is my first purchase from GL and I am unsure of the specifics. I live in NJ and the truck is located in Aberdeen. How can I legally drive this truck home without having the title? Is there a temporary...
