The other morning during ice storm went to start the Hulk 1009. I started it it ran for about 10 sec then died went to start again and engine kept turning over without switch off. I disconnected batts everything stopped.
I searched site but can't find what my truck is doing exactly. I have done...
I was having same problems with my 1009. I got length of fuel line and a marine bulb pump. I installed couple squeezes fire it up check for leaks drive on.
i got the pump from Wally World couple hose clamps and 1 foot of fuel line takes about 10 min. You just need to make sure fuel flow...
My meter quit working and I replaced it with an ISSPRO gauge. I like this better than the military version as it is 24v and has number to show what your running instead of just red, yellow, and green. This is a direct replacement used my factory light looks better works better. I think this is a...
I just replaced my voltmeter, did you clean the electrical connector clip. I had to clean mine it had corrosion not making good contact it's the black one where your power and ground for meter connect to harness. I say clean it and put some electric grease on it can't hurt.
Ok just finished mod truck starts no fire sparks or explosions. I found out I had no relay I had the army mod just a jumper between purple and purple white wire no relay no stuck relay. I remember my old motor Sgt. doing this in things to get from point a to b but never meant to be a perm fix.
That's what I have prime line 701829 made by same company as the other part that Doghead calls for, the only difference I found was added mounting option when you look up parts they say same thing I just wasn't sure. I'm also going to cap the stud ends with some rubber vacuum line ends along...
I went to my closest parts store which is about 15 miles away to get relay. I got there gave part number they didn't have it. The counter guy who looked it up gave me part number 701829 said only difference was this one was universal mount that's why they stock it. I just want to make sure...
Went to my closest NAPA all they had was part # 701829 said was same part just had universal mounting is this right. I got it anyway was cheap enough part. The package only says 2 post side or base mount 1/4 or 5/16 post.
I'm asking to see if this will work before I start cutting wire.
Hey thanks Marcus and Warthog for the final push for a multimeter. I think so far well spent $30 bucks. I came home ran through TM and some previous post watched a YouTube video hour later had checked batteries both alts and power to gauge. I have a bad resistor for sure I replaced it but not...
Thanks for the reply I'm an hour plus drive from town with more than tractor parts. I'll pick one up tomorrow have spend another day at the VA. I'm still trying to figure out the multimeter. I get this sorted out and rear window crank fixed my 1009 will be perfect. Im just not good with...
I don't have the ability to check voltage at gauge. That's why I'm going off the no starting problems will still run all lights and what not. I just get the Gen lights at start up that's all the diagnostic I can do.
I had nothing fixed broke wire and added resistor got something I just don't...
Could someone give me some ideas on how to wire in the new resistor. I think this is my problem I have 3 studs on back of gauge ground hot and open which 2 do I connect the new resistor to or is it all 3 or just 1.
My gauge shows in the green now till both my Gen lights turn off after start up...
Does anyone know where I could find a replacement gauge or if an after market would work. I have this issue and one other and those parts from LMC will be here tomorrow then I'll be 100% FMC
I got the 300 ohm resistor from mouser. I do disconnect batteries learned that one the hard way with a ford. Would a bad relay show it to over charge I thought if it went bad it would kill it also. I know someone will say put a meter to it my skill level with electric not there. I fix...
Ok my voltmeter stopped working about 2 weeks ago. I found one of the wires broke I fixed this it still didn't work. I got new resistor now it goes straight to red like it's over charging. I get no gen lights no start up problems or battery drain. I checked my fuse able links on alts all are...
I now have a working horn went with a dual air horn setup. I added a 12v outlet. I only have 2 issues left the washer pump and now rear window crank not wanting to work hope it's a simple fix I use it often.
I fixed an electrical issue by driving down a rough country road at a moderat rate of speed.
Go to show after 2 weeks of cleaning, trouble shooting, and replacing parts go find a bumpy road and shake it
back in place.
I'm still having this problem. I've noticed that when the marker light fuse blows the GEN2 light comes on then goes off.
I have went back and rechecked all bulbs, grounds, and connections has not fixed this problem but as others. I'm back again looking for suggestions or fixes to similar issues...
I pulled all my lights cleaned and checked bulbs and grounds. I didn't find any bad wires at the corners any other places to look? I have a new headlight switch should I change it out could it cause the fuse to blow?
I just don't know how to find the short.
It's in there good it gets it right in the middle burns it black. I can hear it snap when I hit the switch. I'm thinking of changing my light plugs. What's the best way to get at the front side markers?
