Very nice turbo set-up where did you find it at? And how much did it set you back? As far as a 700R4 I have had them in many cars and my wife's suburban, and they aren't all that great of a trans. Really need a large trans cooler when towing.

Only thing ive run into on the fuel filter from napa you need to cork gasket that comes with it. When i got mine i threw it out. Than looked at the old one and noticed after looking at ones listed to ebay they come with 2. So i spent about 2 hours and a roll of cork gasket and made my own. Im...

Mine are done they were the trans cooler line. Much easier to see the entire set-up after it was on the lift. And noticed i really badly need a new exhaust. :cookoo: Guess its when you use the truck that has 32k miles on it to plow with. But **** i made 12k with it last year alone.

ok sorry noticed i put 017a instead of 701a dyslexia gets me too many times.

Well from what i was told there was no conversion to the engine on the 016b they from the motor pool change the tag to indicate 017a. Still with the 1 cyl diesel engine. I really wish some of the people that said about this would chime in.

Ok im sure you are correct. Ive been told in older posts that the engine is all the same. And the 016B's were switched to 017A's. Not sure why but thats why this forum is here to inform others. Mine was believed to be a 016b but when i cleaned the tag it said 017a. And indicates its a 3kw

I'm sorry what is the 016 wiki. What I've researched the 016b and the 017a are the same. Just changed by the military with different case and tags. I'm sure there is more that may have changed but that is as far as I've gotten so far.
