The connectors are just plain copper. Sized exactly for a 2.0 cable. You strip the insulation, flux copper connector, then use flux free electical solder. Heat will not impact the insulation. A marine store will have them. I am also sure the parts are defined in the technical parts manuals...
Here's what I ended up using.
I made the two battery cables, and removed one (part #5578874) from the original setup. Used 2.0 gauge wire (about 6 feet), purchased from a marine store. Soldered ends (4x) (marine store). 2 grommets (purchased at hardware store) fit the 2.0 gauge wire...
Delivery pics. Paid to get from pa to mi. The pics on the 18wheel flatbed show how delivered to me.
Uhaul. It is possible. Unbolt one fender (use 4x4 to get over bolt tabs with stressing tires), then fold down the other side fender. One side fender on the trailer is normally foldable, and the...
I just did mine a month ago. Same thing, about 2 qts. Volume listed must be wrong. It will take 3.5 qts if you let 1.5 qts run over into your catch pan.
Thanks. I was a little concerned. Less now. Everyone's reply helped. I will measure and reply. Roughly, looks correct. Hole is elongated with shoulder fitting in elongated hole.
Here’s my experience with no headlights. All other light settings worked for me except the service light setting, specifically headlights. I had power at pin F in the lamp switch (obvious since other light settings worked).
I then pulled the lamp switch. I checked the switch from F to M...
I went to change the filter on my 1993 AM General M998 Humvee HMMWV. Opened pan,
and filter was loose. I've done other GM transmission oil changes (4l60 I
think). For them, the filter was press fit into the pump with no
bolt.
Looking at the bolt, (see attached pics) it appears too long. I...
This is an old post, but I wanted to make a comment. Cold oil is thicker only if it's a single weight oil. Multi weight oils are thinner when cold. 15w-40 oils behave as a 15w oil when cold, the get thicker as they warm up, 40w. The way it was explained to me is the vicosotiy modifiers are...
Changed oil on the unit. Changed both fuel filters. Added the 3amp slow blow fuse fix to the #8 quad output on the voltage regulator. Ran 2 hours at 50% load. Will up to load 75 % for four hours next. See video link for the unit running and vitals. 200f on coolant temp gauge. I am...
Does anyone know if there's a passage in the intake manifold to crankcase to pull the vacuum? I would check this also to make sure not sludge plugged (unlikely).
Thanks for the feedback. Gov Planet started it prior to auction, so unfortunately I couldn't pre-lube.
It definitely, has positive crankcase pressure. There's also a paper test in the manual, I think it would certainly fail. "If water manometer is not available, place a piece of thick paper...
Onan DN2M Diesel, 2 cylinder/4 stroke, 11.0hp @1800 RPM, 24VDC start, liquid-cooled.
Got unit a few months back from Govplanet. 80 hours. Unit has high blowby, but not so high it pushes out the dipstick.
I've tested the unit, and it's 100% functional, with the exception of the blowby. Starts...
