I have the same issue with my truck that developed right before I went to sell it. Stupid truck :)
Front seal is leaking, causing clutch to slip.
Hey OP, Did you replace your disc?
M35tom, whats the tolerance allowed on front input shaft play? IE, how to determine if bearing is bad. That is...
For anyone interested, i have an extra set of high speed third members for sale in the portland area. I can install as well, if you bring the truck to my shop.

I am going to quote my original comment.
At this point youve argued both sides of the coin.
But hey, since you just insist on Needling me, I am happy to say YOU ARE RIGHT TOBY! There is no way it can be done without a container crane and ten men :)
WelL it does seem the most logical way dont you think? Having four lift points all running vertically is a good way for the load to get out of control.
the army has no doubt spent millions in taxpayer dollars to determine the best way to lift these things, and even mathed out locations on the...

looks like they just use the standard motor size and use a much bigger gear reduction end to achieve 18k. that thing must be slow as mud! Anyway, Those motors are same for Tmax, smittybilts, cheap Ramsey, basically any of the china low end winches use the same motor. I bet you could find one in 24v.
Drive it like a 18,000 lb truck. Drop it into a gear that wont let you get out of control, air down your tires( yes it helps on ice), and stay off the brakes. If you arent confident doing those things, leave it at home and take the wifes suby.
Well, Gringeltaube the moderator has threatened to ban me for using PDX as my location, instead of PORTLAND OREGON.
My deepest apologies for all the good folks I have hurt and offended! I will change my ways immediately.
For some reason my photographer didnt want to get out and sink in to her waist, though I did ask! :)
Wasnt too bad, the wood doesnt have much moisture content in the winter.
Thanks! I didnt realize my tarp was different than others!
It disconnects the power to the fuel solinoid, preventing the fuel from reaching the engine. It will crank all day amd never start if that switch is pressed.
