Small keyboard big fingers
I am surprised there isnt a kit out there for this. I thought the main plunger was a square cut o ring...
OP are you referring to one of these shaft seals?
Moving the batts would be ideal. Planning to do it to give me a lower deck height. Then you can get rid of those rediculous 6TLs and use something more reliable/servicable.
I threw a tape on some 1400s, i didnt think there was more than 1.5" height difference. What kind did you measure? I think these were the xzls. I am interested in putting em on there to drop the rpms down more. Not really looking forward to more height, but the tach gain will be worth it.
Well I am an idiot.
Turns out that the inhibit switch kills fuel pump power by completing the circuit, not disconnecting. Didnt see that in the TM! The switch applies power to the start inhibit relay.
On a whim, i put the non functioning wtec3 controller back in. I discovered that if i really...
Made some headway!
I discovered two of my batteries wont hold a charge. Swapped them out and now the truck will crank from cab. Still wont fire the fuel solinoid. Even tried feeding 24v power to the circuit at the inhibit switch, no dice.
Will, i swapped the keypad. With the good one...
NDT, yes I used the dipstick to fill it. Pending a gear cycle, it should be full.
Controller looked great inside. If there are no codes stored, will the controller still spit some kind of diagnostic queue?
as it happens, I do have another wtec3 truck with a known working controller. Guess I'll...
I'm not getting any error codes. In fact, nothing is happening when the arrow buttons are pressed. Stays in N.
pulling the controller and see if there's a funky button connection.
NDT, I found the manual you speak of but it didn't open for me. Any chance you have it saved?
i pressed every combination of two I can think of on my controller, there aren't any codes ive been able to glean.
also, I added a few more gallons to the trans making 5 total. Near as I can tell...
So the cables just bolt directly to the panel lugs, huh. Everything else is so neat and orderly on the panel, I assumed there was some sort of extension buss i was missing. forcing them onto the lugs didnt seem right as there was already half a dozen wires on each already.
I know the trans is...
Thanks Will. Is there some sort of buss that the three 12v, 24v, and ground wires connect to the board, or do they screw right to the back of the access terminals on the board?
Didnt know it would throw codes that could be read without diag tools?
I planned to part it, but its a really nice...
