Hear ye! Hear ye! To all M1031 contact truck owners!!

Seriously right away in this thread you jumped in to stir the pot with your .02 worth even though you had no idea what we were talking about. Then to further muddy up the board you started your own thread about what rpm the controller you admitted to not even knowing what it was or does runs at...

Hear ye! Hear ye! To all M1031 contact truck owners!!

I agree no one has attacked his solution thats not what upsets me. I just don't like to see a man "attacked" for trying to pass along a beneficial product and get fair compensation for the product, his time & monetary investment in it. I own one of these trucks and have a need for his product...

    M1031 Governor Control

If I'm wrong someone please correct me but I believe it takes 1800 rpm to maintain 60 hertz. I'm guessing that is actual armature rpms. This would be a good question in the Hear Ye Hear Ye thread and help to get it back on the tech track at the same time I guarantee some one following it will know.

Hear ye! Hear ye! To all M1031 contact truck owners!!

You have been one of the few voices of reason in this thread as far as I'm concerned and I tend to agree with everything you are saying but if it were me I would charge more to program a controller someone bought from someone else and would not stand behind a part that I did not know the history...

    Mod Thread

That bob job was my first attempt ever at body work. The hardest part was getting the sides marked the same on each side so they would be even. The actual doing it was easy. About the only thing you want to be careful of is the mess & smell several coats of burning CARC paint makes when making...

Hear ye! Hear ye! To all M1031 contact truck owners!!

There seems to be 2 trains of thought here #1 some seem to think the post is innapropriate for this section. I'm sure the mods will move or delete if it is. No need for us to worry about that. #2 some seem to think he wants too much for what he is offering. If you don't think it's a fair price...

Hear ye! Hear ye! To all M1031 contact truck owners!!

You should go back and read the first 5 or 6 replies of people getting bent about whether the OP is a vendor, is the OP making any money off these, asking the OP if this is a classified ad, and the quote I think sums up the (Now that you have put all the time, effort, & expense into this tell me...

    Mod Thread

Thanks for the compliment. I've never had an issue with the local PD or HP but I have a good relationship with them. I think it would be legal except maybe the tires sticking out a little but I don't know the rule here. I found your starter relay mod thread very easy to read & understand. I...

Yeah I'm on pirate alot (more than here for the most part) but I don't really consider this hardcore tech. Lots of great ideas there also but when I have any electrical related CUCV issues this is where I'm searching for the answer. Always find it immediately!

mine-his Taken from the original post! "I am not a business I'm just a guy willing to help out fellow M1031 owners with control boxes that do not work. If you have any questions please feel free to PM me. I do have Paypal" Seems like a nice guy, lets run him off!

Hear ye! Hear ye! To all M1031 contact truck owners!!

Heres a pic of mine which I believe to be original. His obviously looks much cleaner & alot simpler. If it performs better I'd like to know more about it. Yes it does look like he is selling them but I have no problem with him using the forum to make me aware of a better product that is...

Hear ye! Hear ye! To all M1031 contact truck owners!!

If this box takes the place of all the gear in mine I would like to know more about it. I don't see why everone is getting up in arms about it. I think any info on the 1031s is welcome I've done a lot of searching and have not found much here on them. To the OP maybe edit your post and do a step...

Very hard to stop you might say and thanks for the compliments. Most of the local people just shake their head and ask why! Nice to be understood even if it's just on the web!

    Mod Thread

I can't call it a build thread so we'll call it a mod thread! I bought this one at a GSA auction last september along with 4 or 5 others. It's a 37k mile 1984 M1028 with a NP208 & limited slip front diff. I sold all the others but I kept this one as it smokes a little and has some blowby. I...

    alternator problem

I got my first one last summer also & have lost count already on how many I've had since, they come & go. I do have one I kept though and I'm writing a thread on all the mods I've done to it now. Watch for it. Noticed you are a fellow okie I was born & raised out near Woodward and still have...

    alternator problem

This worked for me! Rear battery was not getting charged and gen 2 light was not coming on with the key. The gen 2 bulb & the 24V fuse were bad. My voltmeter has never worked now it does. As usual the knowledge on this board has saved me hours and untold $ not swapping out good parts. Thanks for...

    Jumpstarting with cucv

I've started several this way. I'm getting ready to tie into one that is not charging the rear battery which is why I'm reviewing these older threads!
