I think if they are in really good shape they are worth every penny of $3,700 start doing rust repair & mechanical fixes and you will get there in a hurry even on a cheap one!
The shop that wanted $200 would probably provide you with an affidavit making it legal but it would still be TMU however you would have proof it was not tampered with and is not "actual" miles.
I have a 1008 that reads 915 miles that I'm sure is not rolled over based on the condition of it but...
I'm not sure if you are talking about the rattles or overall noise but I had a 1008 last fall that was just loud. The wing nuts on the air cleaner were stripped out I replaced them and it was quieter with the air cleaner lid snugged down tight.
If it's just a dd and not your tow rig don't be afraid to take out the bottom 3 or 4 leaves on those 56s much better ride and very flexy I did it on the M1028 in my avatar & love it!
If the odometer you are replacing is broke now your mileage wont be correct anyway. I would keep the broken one to show to a potential buyer if you ever decide to sell it we used to do this with semi-tractors. You don't say what model & year the vehicle is but most states are exempt from a...
Purchase an M1031 with the 12 KW generator of course. After days of power outages & sub zero weather a good old fashioned blizzard rolls in & makes it next to impossible to keep my little 5500 watt generator running. So I haul off & buy this from another dealer up in ND and now we have the power...
What is it doing? Mine was shifting late then hard I have replaced the regulator and had it adjusted by an ex gm mechanic with a vac guage and it still shifts late & hard but it seems like when it gets good & warmed up it shifts good I think my next move will be filter & fluid change & then...
I think you can but it will make the trans shift early. I messed with this once but cant really remember it seems like you can swap the lines at the valve & it will accomplish the same thing (bypass) I bet someone who knows for sure will chime in but I know the info can be found here by...
Here is my M1028 I put a 12K milemaker elec/hyd on. I put it as high & far in as I could get it, ran the hyd through the steering/hydroboost system & hooked up the hot wire. EASY
Sajer I agree with everything you say! Everyone thinks they know what dealers pay for MVs but do they know all the costs such as freight, recon & detail, overhead costs per unit to breakeven. These things fall into the "acceptable level of compensation" category now how about a little profit...
I have no problem buying vehicles sight unseen provided you have a system that works for you I do it every day but someone I know & trust does a walkaround & a test drive on them. I don't think you would get to test drive them up here, at the GSA sale in Billings MT you can check them over but...
Being a car dealer the "how much do you want to spend" is a very important question. I don't want to waste a bunch of my or a customers time trying to sell them vehicles out of their price range. If a person names a price range but I have something priced a little higher I will usually fade to...
Last fall out in Billings MT they were holding about 60 cucv because someone somewhere had smogged one and it failed. I guess they were raising **** about it & according to the auction mgr. they (GSA) were pretty close to crushing & scrapping  them but finally sold them with a disclaimer.
Third one was camo also with low miles but it only had 1 bucket seat in it. It was in IL also. These are proving to be hard to buy in this country and after the buyers premium & freight I would have had another $1,100 in one.
Does anyone know the output on the generators (both the wisc. gas &...
