Good theory but what about a truck that has a winch it says W/W not W/W W/E together so I don't think it's enhancements since winch trucks get enhancements too.
I dont see how a hmmwv lug can back out on its own since they maintain a crap load of tension all the way off. its hard enough to take em off with a lug wrench
I used a c4isr box I got from a member here http://www.uec-electronics.com/?s=c4isr it works quite well. I built a stereo box and in the box is a 24v to 12v step down which powers the radio speakers and charger on one switch. Most off road led lights have a operating range between 10v to 32v so...
I dont totally disagree with you very valid points there. Now I would not ride in a turret on certain roads like the freeway or busy roads with the crazy drivers we got here in GA or elsewhere and wouldent let anyone else cause of the liability factor. However IF its legal and the OP wants to do...
I spent plenty of time manning the turret in Iraq when I was in so I know the risks involved. Here in the US i would consider it less dangerous than riding a bike and if u hit something going 55 or roll in a Humvee no-one in the vehicle will be having a good day especially with a metal dash in...
Ok I know some here use behr paint to paint their mv with good success has anyone here used behr deck over on their truck as a bed or floor pan liner? if so how did it hold up? I was thinking about doing monstaliner or other liner on the interior of my hmmwv but the deck over seems like it would...
I did the same only instead of doing to rows I mounted em in the middle its low enough to keep the tire from moving around and high enough to strap fuel cans or whatever else to the side. I wouldent quite trust that wheel standing up in the bed I can see it falling out especially off roading, I...
The nightmares horrid reliability problems your vet buddies tell you about Mainly stem from a crappy maintenance team and more importantly weather or not the private working on the truck cares or not. im sure you would care for it many times more than a fresh 18 year old "mechanic".
Came across 2 humvee training repair videos on youtube full of useful info. figured i would post em. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hBA0QRg0a8g&t=170s https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c0IpRn3m3bs
aside from the normal reactions. I have noticed that jeepers wave quite often and seem interested in the vehicle and hummer h2 and 3 drivers seem to avoid contact. and if someone asks about the mileage I tell em it gets 35mpg on a newly designed experimental engine.
basically bent a metal tube that fit around the windshield frame. Cut 4 tabs out 1/8 x 1 steel flat bar maybe 3 inch long if i remember correctly. attached the tabs to the bar so they lined up with the mirror bolt holes. the bolts go through mirror mounts and trough the tabs into the windshield...
