Checked voltage at plugs with key off and key on per Warthog and they check good, load tested batteries and they are good, voltage across both not running is 25.0 volts, running voltage is 29.8. Cleaned all bussbar connections, battery terminals but have not checked firewall plug yet. Both gen...
Changed the thermostat to the 22 dollar one from napa and found that it had the same one in (hockey puck type) but the plastic puck was stuck at an angle so it was not working, it got dark so did not have time to look at it further to check manufacturer but long story short, ran it with cap off...
So no coolant loss? if it is burned burned off in the combustion chamber it is not replaced right? I am not nearly as knowledgeable as you about the head gasket situation but I would imagine coolant loss at some point, not arguing just trying to understand! I think the easiest first is the...
I will have someone pressure test the cooling system, I can't see changing a head gasket unless bad, one would think a blown head gasket would also have other symptoms as well, Thanks cucvrus

I don't have a thermometer to check coolant temp, funny thing is I drove it back a couple weeks ago fro Chattanooga where I bought it about 3.5 hour drive and the heat worked fine, the guy I bought it from told me the heat did not work so it surprised me when it did. However it has not worked...
I just replaced my swellman plow plugs with ac60g's and new connectors, bypassed the resistor and installed a new glow plug relay, now both gen lights flash no matter the speed, what did I do?
yea I painted my last one using the ambulance pattern as I could not find one for the M1009, I think it was MERDC Summer, the one in my picture I painted the 3 color woodland paint scheme, this one is 4 color
My auto electric man found the bulb receptacle contacts for the generator were corroded and once he cleaned up the instrument cluster everything is working fine he says, voltage staying around 14.6 when running, I'll pick it up in the morning and hope it's OK, thanks
