as long as I keep it in my pants, she lets me do whatever I want.
I feel thats a good arrangement! ;)
The truck handles very well, seems to be plenty powerful honestly. I'm not gonna worry about turning up the fuel or anything like that...she has plenty of power.
The only thing I would...
Yeah, thats my next move, the inline pump...
I was curious however, if the air is in the system AFTER the IP, say on the return lines back to the filter housing, will a stronger lift pump fix this?
(I am completely assuming that like most IP's at least one of the clear lines I can see is a...
I have read many posts on this topic, but nothing was written specifically on my question.
I did Jatonka fuel system change a week ago, found out I had a bad in-tank (didn't run at all) pump...so I swapped tanks (I had a spare tank) and that pump, while it runs, I dont think it has much...
I luckily have another tank that I might be able to salvage the pump out of.
Just curious, but would the pump not working cause my truck to die when going from high RPM to low RPM? I was having that issue. The truck started extremely easily, idled fine, ran down the road like a top....but...
I did pre-fill the filters 3/4 of the way.
I did run the ACC switch on for 1 min multiple times to get fuel to the filter prior to trying to start.
I think I heard a humming, but honestly wasn't sure over the low air buzzer.
Tomorrow I plan on taking my multi-meter, starting at the tank and...
I just put on Jatonka's fuel filter kit on my deuce and tried to bleed from the top valve on the filter housing and I'm getting no diesel at all from that valve. Am I doing something wrong?
The change out was incredibly easy, but now I can't get my normally VERY easy starting deuce to fire...
I was leaning in that direction too, but I wanted to rule out anything adjustable/mechanical. I'll change out all the filters and maybe just drain my tank for good measure...hopefully that clears it up or I'll be bumping this thread! lol
Thanks bud.
My deuce is nearing completion and I'm getting ready to get her on the road. I do have an issue though.
She starts right up, first time every time, and idles around 800 rpm with throttle in all the way...purrs like a kitten, only 6k miles on the truck.
The issue is when I start driving it, I...
I'm basically just fed up with trying to engineer this stuff...if there was a kit made, I'd have bought one by now, along with a power steering kit. bah, just fed up.
does the master cylinder have enough volume to run two air packs?
It wouldn't be a totally redundant system, but I was thinking it would be by far the easiest way to reach some level of redundancy without having to reinvent the wheel.
I would love to see some pictures of the linkage for the dual mc set up. I am trying to weigh all my options, and it seems like the linkage could be a nightmare trying to set up?
Anyone have pics of this?
I've read that the wheel cylinders on a deuce are 1 3/8th bore diameter. Does anyone know what the throw is per piston? I'm trying to figure out the volume of the cylinders.
Thanks to all.
I just got covered via progressive though USAA. 520 a year, 300k liability. I didn't think that was bad at all. She said I got an 80.00 discount due to having a CDL.
