    Sandblast Cabinet Question

I don't know much about cabinet blasting, but, I use a pressure pot to carve granite, for my business. I've also cleaned many things for people with this. Sandblasting is a function of "chipping" the material away...... You need: inertia: volume of sand, weight/density of same, at speed. This...

    Coolant acidity

Bill W: Ph is a scale from 0-10. 5 is chemically neutral. I think the 7.0 figure you use is in relation to living organisms. that is where they like to be, specifically humans. So, a change from there is acid or base related to our bodies. This is all, IIRC, of course......... good luck

    Deuce with boom

I think that is a good spot for a crane, maximum reach......I put mine there, just for that reason. I chose to put outriggers (manual) straight back, in addition to the side ones, though. I felt I needed them as a safety thing, in case I picked up to much weight off the back and the truck wanted...

Veggie oil way up in price....

RE: Here "Soylent geen is us" quote from Charleton Heston in the movie. My wishes are with him........ I've been told that if we tried to convert enough ground to plant oil production, we'd have no water for food crops........

    Deuce with boom

yeah, it was fun, thanks, we got 2' of snow, when it was just supposed to be "flurries"....... Had to walk the last 1/2 mile in, each carrying a battery and ether, just in case.....I'm on the left. We didn't need the ether, just ran the pre heater as it cranked, started much quicker than I had...

    centrifuge.....

Yeah, I think you're right Lee, Simple Centrifuge is running much lower, though, I think 1700 rpm? not sure. it's just a matter of more rpm=higher "G's"= faster seperation, for a given diameter. Above a certain threshold, of course. The way I see it, is, Simple Centrifuge has a good design, and...

    centrifuge.....

I was thinking of making the bowl for spinning out of a polymer/epoxy resin or something similar. You could still spin it on a lathe to final size, cast your own blank so as not to have to do so much machining, and, they'd be light. Seems a lot of these materials have similar strength, etc, to...

    Propane on a five ton???

a friend, and memeber here, uses propane injection on his Ford Powerchoke..........hahaha, Anyway, He claims more h.p., and, lower EGT's.........greater fuel economy, too. The propane is supposed to act as someone earlier stated, an oxidizer, making the diesel burn more completely. I'm sure it...

I have 3 M35's and they all drain the batteries if left sitting to long........anywhere from a few months on....... The only thing I've found is dis-connecting them. and, leaving a solargizer on......or starting and running them once a month or so for an hour. I've posted about this, all my...

I take em out of all my vehicles (13) unless they're daily/weekly drivers. I keep them mostly on solargizers, once in a while put the charger on overnight.......I keep 8 batteries this way, two gel cell. Check the electrolyte levels once in a while, and, add as needed. I wish there was a quich...

I second contacting Alex at Idaho Motor Pool. I've bought a few trucks from him and been noting but happy.............. fancyd's truck sounds good if it were close or could be delivered, heck, I'd buy it if it were closer, etc. I'm in northern CA Maybe you could get him to put a pump in it and...

    Deuce rear axle modification

I register my duece here in CA as an "historic vehicle" and, am then not required to get the class "B", but, can't use it commercially, for hire....... There has been a lot of discussion about DL requirements regarding this, and, opinions vary. From talking with local CHP, as long as I remain...
