HOW CAN GL sa I have 10 days only open 3 days in the 10.

I don't know where you're getting it from, but at Warner Robins AFB where I got mine, they told me if I could not make within the 10 days, to let them know and they could give me a little more time. Our house burned after I won my M1009, so we were knee-deep in the rebuilding phase when my EUC...

6.2 powered truck = Apocalypse vehicle!;)

I noticed that the dinging buzzer that you hear when was hotwiring it wasn't from a 80's GM.

6.2 powered truck = Apocalypse vehicle!;)

On the show Apocalypse Man, he jacks a 6.2 powered Burb to drive when SHTF. Its kinda cheesy, but pretty cool to see an old 6.2 powered truck on TV. I told my wife "See, when the zombies come, you're going to be happy to ride in my M1009." She just gave me that look and shook her head.:p Here's...

    CUCV-II, South Florida Rebuild

It should work out OK if it didn't hurt the block. I have a Navistar Block that spun a main bearing due to a broken oil cooler line. It came out of a '01 3500HD Power Co bucket truck. I am going to try to have it align honed, and buy a steel crank for to eventually repower my M1009. I have the...

    CUCV-II, South Florida Rebuild

That's a pretty good set-up, but I would also install a mechanical temp gauge. I know there's already one in the truck but they are iffy at best, and temp and EGT is crucial, especially when towing. Being that you have the Turbo Master, it is really easy to melt one down if the EGT's and temp...

    CUCV-II, South Florida Rebuild

That is a great mod. The PMD's in the stock location nearly killed the reputation of the 6.5TD. I can't tell you how many people I've put DB2 pumps on the 6.5TD's for that very reason.

    Triple batteries?

what branch/unit did your cucv serve with?

CARNAC gave me the following info, but I don't know what it means. 0349 RGT 1 BN - FT. GORDON, GA My bumper #'s are : 1AE/1571NF 1/349 18 I know my truck was a radio truck at some point. I am going to try to strip the paint and see if there are other numbers under the visible ones when I...

    Identifying 6.2 Engine

No, the VIN only designates whether it was a "C" or "J" code engine, and all CUCV's had J code 6.2's (non emissions) and of course the year the truk was built.
