Little bit of an update. I will be going with the transfer case pto for sure. Main reason I will be doing so is because in order to run a separate power source to run the hydraulics I will need at least 22 hp engine to get the 6 gpm at 3000psi that I need. This was determined by calculation by a...
I had searched and already saw the pictures you posted. I thought it might be something different than what I had already seen that was separated from the crane it's self.
The front tires do look bigger but they are all the same size.
As for the out riggers I have not got any yet or decided how I want to mount them. That will be after I get the crane mounted.
Cranetruck that is the crane that I have but it has had a winch installed.
It is only rated for 2000 lbs at 10ft and a 1000 lbs at the full 20ft reach.
The crane has been modified by Morgan crane to mount to a ship. I believe if the 1" steel plate will hold that is on the bottom of the...
Well I picked up my first knuckle boom from a guy in Tennessee. It is a Morgan model 40 which is originally a Fassi F40.22. Morgan modified it to bolt to a ship and installed a winch. Unit requires 6gpm and 3000psi to run and it appears to have seen hardly any use what so ever.
I am still...
The morgan model 40 is originally a fassi f40. Morgan Crane company modified the crane as they do with all of their cranes. I was modified by adding a hydraulic winch, removing the down riggers and designing a new mounting plate so it would mount to a ship.
I believe I am going to go with the t-case pto and pto pump. I have not found any info on the 817 pto pump so I think I will just go this route. 6 gpm is the minimum and 10gpm is the max at 3000 psi. I would like to find a pto pump for a couple hundred bucks. I have found the t-case pto shaft...
I have not yet found the pump that I need. I was going to ask if anyone knew the specs on the pump of the 817 to see if that might be suited for my use.
My knuckle boom requires 6 gpm and 3000 psi. I can't post pictures right now because I am on my iPad and it won't accept them.
