I had this to happen to me as well. I hook to one of my goose neck trailers and in just a few minutes all the lights went out.
Something that I just thought of...since the original light switch will not handle the load of the marker lights would this add to the effects since it creates more...
I'm just afraid mine will get me out and get me stranded. No idea on the humvee alt. Haven't had any experience with those. I really don't need 24volts on my truck but wouldn't mind just for the military trailers.
If you have any more ideas feel free to let me know
My insurance is through country way. Not expensive at all. It's a commercial policy for 500,000 liability and I think cost me 300 a year. No cdl required.
Voltage meter reads 14 volts when truck is idling and driving at 55 mph. When I start turning electronics on it keeps dropping voltage. With the head lights and parking lights on it reads about 13 volts. Then when I turn the heater on it drops to what's looks like is 12 volts. This is what the...
Once you get in Kentucky if you have any problems you give me a holler and I can come with a tow bar. In not up to date on the a3 as knowing the secrets about them. I have a 915 and am more than willing to help. Send me a pm and I can give you my number. Good luck on your travels. I made one...
I Can't post my pictures from my iPad but I will try to find some links to some pictures. The good think about the m915a1 and super singles is it will cruise at 55 mph and not be wide open. It will also run out at about 70.
I know you said you want to stay with the 6x6 configuration but I would consider a m915a1. All the power in the world and you can put singles on them and they look great. Just my 2 cents.
Excellent job that has been done on this truck! Love the looks of her. Keep up the good work.
Ever think of running a wider tire in the front on a combat rim to kind of take up some of the space in the huge fender well?
That's what I'm looking for. Any idea what the correct term is for one of those. I have searched and searched and could not even find a picture. Also any idea what one of those would cost?
Well does anybody know If one of these exist for the m915-m920? My truck has the small turn fasteners on the radiator shell. I know I can get one made at an upholstery shop but would like one original if I could get one. I can not even find a picture of one. If anyone knows if these exist please...
Anyone took the plunge and installed the straight shift in the m915-m920.
I want to run highway speeds and. I can do that with my. Bigger tires but when I hook to a van trailer they are over height.I know I can get permits but would rather swap a trans and go back to my 11.00s
Just curious if docfarmall had better luck with his new switch.
Also curious if ferroequinologist went with the 3 lever.
Is the problem the marker lights or the head lights? Also which wire going to the switch is for the marker lights?

I am going to be replacing my switch with a new switch and changing the marker lights to a different switch and useing a relay. the only problem i have right now is my pigtail is a little deformed. does anybody know where i can get a pig tail?
Just wondering if running my 915 with out the secondary air filter would be bad on it. I know in really harsh conditions it needs both but in normal conditions could I get by with the the outer element? What do you think?
Checked under the hood today and BAM there it was. Didn't get a chance to install the new one or pull the old one off. Gotta make a run tomorrow to get a load of dust. Gonna change the fuel filter then change the gauge then.
