What have you done to your CUCV today/lately? - Part 1

That is some Rube Goldberg way of installing run flats.

    Radio adapter questions?

The mounts I have also have the metal adaptors on them, I have a spare mount that isn't mounted as of yet and it also has the metal adaptor; I think they might come with them.

    Radio adapter questions?

That site just gives you some information, you have to do some leg work to find what you need. Some members here can and will help out if they have what you need. Also auction sites are useful.

    Add DC Slave

The reason the shifter on the t-case is "backwards" is because of how the radio mounts in an m1010; the mount sits pretty much above the t-case.

    Radio, speakers, & antenna

If you have an amps clamp put it to the ground and see what the draw is. If you are less than a half amp you should be fine as that is about what a normal car draws when off. If you don't drive it on a regular basis and you store it outside install a solargizer; if it's stored inside get a...

Northern California East Bay Area CUCV Wrench day/Meet & Greet

Originally I thought I could make this day, then I realized it was memorial day weekend. Unfortunately I will not be able to make it.

What is it and why did it smoke.

Just an observation from your photo, this doesn't pertain to your problem; however you should make sure you have your battery clamps down much further on the terminals. There is a tool ou can buy that will spread the clamps so you don't destroy them in the process. Just do a quick search for...

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately? - Part 1

I finally cleared out enough space in my garage for my 1009, with that my 24v battery tender arrived in the mail today so I can insure that my batteries are up to snuff when I take her out.

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately? - Part 1

I drove my 1009 just under 300 miles to Camp Roberts and back this past weekend with no problems averaging about 75 MPH. Great truck, other than the extreme road noise.

    MRE Heater

When I was in (mid to late 90's) we had them issued with our M270 Launchers as part of our BII. Other than that I've never seen them used. I'm still looking for the outlet to put in my M1009, any help would be much appreciated.

    CUCV Model year comparrison

I'd say you just have to look at the truck itself to see if it's in good shape. I have not heard of any major differences/desirability between years.
