This brings up a question... Does the differential oil in the axles, lubricate those bearings and gears? or does one need to repack the wheel bearings? I really hope the heavy oil lubricates everything in the axles.
Is there a way to bypass the pressure switch for diagnostics?, there are 3 contacts. My air tanks are full. In the relay/fuse panel, there is a relay marked ctis overdrive, does it do anything? I can't feel the relay engage when the switch is turned on before the engine start. The other breaker...
Is there a way figure out why my CTIS is not working? I have owned the truck for 2 months now and when I started it, I could hear a noise under the cab and the 5 lights would blink and then would switch to one (hwy) and then it would finally turn solid.
Now, when I start the truck, the five...

It might be me but I just don't like to see a diesel engine reach 200 +
My fan kicks on around 185-190 somewhere in that area. Is this normal? On a warm day my fan cycles about every miles or so.... always up hills. When my wife and I want to talk, I keep the fan disengaged until it reaches 200 degrees.
Where did you actually put the 3 in 1 oil? is there a...
Towing a LMTV...
I had posted in another thread about taking off my gladhands in the front and putting plugs in and after that the brakes locked. Good folks replied and I put it back like it was.
It is just making me think about towing. I think someone replied that these trucks are made to...
One of the reasons I bought this truck is so I don't tear up my Ford F250 when we cut wood. I had to put a hitch receiver on at 20 inches above ground level to use my other trailers.
We now can tow the equipment trailer with the skid steer and grapple. We use the skid to load the truck and to...
I had thought of the spare lift and being dual purpose.... maybe a bike lift and store my bike there instead of a spare. I'm not there yet since I currently have a Harley but I do have a Honda trail 90 from the 70"s that gave me the idea.
The hydraulics that pull the cab down for transport can...
You can try to unloosen the fittings at the cab lift cylinder and see if air or oil comes out, pretty much like bleeding the brake line on a car. If you have air in the cylinder most of it will come back to the reservoir when you extend/retract the cylinder all the way, it has to move all the...
It's rolling again..... I took out the 3/8" brass plugs and put the female air chucks back in that replaced the gladhands. I had just taken out the air chucks and put the plugs in on Thursday and haven't driven it until I tried yesterday.
Thanks so much for the insight and knowledge on this site.
Thanks so much, this is really helpful. I had recently taken off the gladhands in the front and put a 3/8" brass plug in there place. I had made a licence plate bracket and the gladhand covers were in the way. I first will try to move the vented gladhand covers to the rear of the truck.
I...
Just wondering if anyone has had a issue with the park brake not releasing? It has never happened until today... I can not get the truck to roll. It acts like you never push in the park brake. It even sounds different, you know the normal load and unloading of air.... well mine quit sounding...
Lmtv772: Not really, the gladhands are only useful when the park break is released, there is no air there with the park brake set. I really like running any new air through the air dryer first.
Oxyacetylene: Yes, I got to say it would of been easier and faster to just torch them in the first...
I added a air chuck on the inlet side of the dryer so I can: 1. air the system up with my shop air compressor before starting the engine and waiting for it to air up before releasing the brakes. 2. keep the system loaded (or aired up) with my shop air compressor so I can check for any air leaks...
