ok I've put a pic on here and highlighted with green where the coolant is coming from. the red, is a question if this screw is going into the coolant jacket??
Yeah, I checked all the ones I can reach... the one I cant get to is the lower radiator hose, on the pump side... and that is where it looks to be leaking... yet its not dripping off the hose, instead its dripping off the block in the same area as that hose.
um... water pump isnt leaking....
lower radiator hose?
is there anything in the block on the front side, like a bolt that goes through a water jacket or a freeze plug?
I kind of jumped the gun on that water pump. maybe its just a hose?!
ya know.. you may be right! haha
In all reality I've put about 10,000 miles on the truck since March... I bet the truck is just getting the kinks worked out.
Ok so after fixing the heater hose leak, my water pump seems to be leaking out of the weep hole... pretty bad too. It seems the more I drive my truck the more it starts to break, lol. I know its likely cause it wasnt used much over the past 20 years or so... but geez, cant a guy get lucky...
just saw this... umm, trying to work out the details, ive got about 2 hours before you guys are meeting up... dont have lights on the truck, but I do have some things I can throw on the truck real fast. I have to hit walmart, post office, and the house before I can go. I get off work at 330...
So I need to do my headgaskets pretty quick. I am using the truck as a daily. So hoping to get it done in a day or weekend. There is hefty amounts of oil coming out of the front and rear of both heads.
So here are a few questions:
Can I leave both the intake and exhaust attached and lift...
Going to check the vent today after work. Thanks for the pointer.. I looked up the TM and found where the vent is and how to clean it. Hopefully that is the issue.
Yeah it was just a maintenence day I suppose.
The heater hose is leaking again, and I can see that it is the hose. I am just going to cut a few inches off of it and reconnect and hope for the best.
I work for the goberment. Has to do with aircraft and stuff... Not gonna throw anyone under a bus here, I'd rather not say.
The safety guy is a BMW guy... Fwiw
SPELLING EDIT ARCTIC... sorry, I'm a tard.
So yesterday after work I put on my arctic front, in preparation for the cold mornings. I didn’t use the metal screw in clips, just stretched the springs, used some zip ties and whatnot. Went well.
Temps on the way home with the flaps dog eared...
It was done through pm's here on the forum. He is a member here. I think if you search for alternator kit it will come up. Or maybe dual (duel) alternator... It's a 10si alt, 60a.
