    M35A3C winch trouble shooting

I know this is not winch talk but when you mention dependability, I question the use of an A3. The oddball transmission makes service on the 1545 an issue. The 1/1 trans final ratio makes them the slowest vehicle on the road. Hydraulics off the back of an air compressor....really. It takes...

    M35A3C winch trouble shooting

Are you building air pressure? Without it, the air engaging PTO on the back of the air compressor will not engage the pump. Or is the PTO manual? Edit.....is this pump engaging while the engine is running....turning? Engaging a PTO on Allison requires stopping while in gear. How does this...

    M35A3C winch trouble shooting

Air operated hydraulic valve....more proof the A3 was designed by committee. I don't have a hyd front winch, so have some bias.

    M35A3C winch trouble shooting

The power source is a hydraulic pump that is piggybacked onto the air compressor. Myself...I don't like that setup. I don't like the stress that puts on the crank and gear of the air compressor. My solution is a PTO on the Allison. And to fit in the space available, a direct mounted pump...

    6 to 10 hole adapter

I have an F600 4x4 boom truck with the 6 lug, like you have. I bought 3 of the m105 trailers with 9.00x20 non directional...which were exactly what came on my truck..... and that were like new. Those times are gone but the tires and tubes are common. I set my m35a3 wheels and 365 tires up...

    M105A trailer

Hi Jim, What all is left? Is the axle included? I need a second for future tandem project. Is the jack there? I expect it will be after you return, for PU. Thanks,

I might buy the parts left.

Title or SF97 Form for HMMWV

It sure would not be hard to expand that to all military vehicles. Thanks, I had not seen that.

Title or SF97 Form for HMMWV

I completely agree each state is different and some much more complex, and some methods to get around them sound a lot like fraud. I'll take it you have answered that California does require an SF97 and that the method of BOS with police vin check is not a legal alternative.

Title or SF97 Form for HMMWV

How many of you have went in with a BOS and a police inspection form filled out? The only truck I got an SF97 was my dump because it came from GSA and sales tax was due. There is no info on an SF97 that is not on a BOS (including tax paid).

Title or SF97 Form for HMMWV

You don't need an SF97. Get your title off the bill of sale. I've done that with all that I bought and resold.

    M35A3 wheel beadlocks

Im glad they work for you. I think the Michelins start off rounder and more in balance but don't have any GY to compare. My point about the bead locks is theoretical ....why so much compressive force when some people run quite successful without them. Sure, no airing down for sand without...

    Funky steering

That space allows some flex of the primary spring and is normal. What doesn't seem to be right is the wheel back spacing. Also, running 395, did they change the castor angle on the spring to axle block? It should look flat. If there is an angle....needs changed/milled. Give us some side...

    1971 Bob build

Use an M931(A2). It's the short frame length, so no frame cuts needed. Study the rear suspension, use springs on the outside of the frame and put air bags for a load. You can vastly improve the ride and when you hall a load on a trailer, have the air already in place for trailer air brakes...

Those with A3 rims that don't leak... Clamp ring tightness

I think we are using too tight of a bead-lock.

    M35A3 Owners unite

I replaced the valve stem with Haltec big bore system and can change the stem from the outside for dish out on the rear and dish in on the front. It won't hang up on the inside and they seal fine.

New Member, New M 817 Owner

I was having fuel problems too (929). Not only changed fuel filter but the fuel filter can gasket and o-ring on top of bolt. Seems to have solved a long problem of losing prime. Fingers crossed. I loved my 817 and it looks like someone made yours a work truck with sides and cover. Good...

    M105A trailer

Doubt it. Use barrels and some long boards to hold it up while pulling out from under and pulling the deuce under it.

    Super single or duals?

Not a budd, you need a Combat rim that is 10" and a beadlock. Wes has some and he's not too far. He probably has the Michelin XZL , which has 12,300# rating...higher than some same size. Edit....check for heavy version of the wheel, I'm blank on name

    M353 Welding Trailer

The 105 spring is also the same as the front of most deuces. Will be interested to see if it's the same.
