    Looking for GL bid advice

Hey everyone, I searched the threads before I posted this, but I didn't find an answer. I'm considering bidding on a M1009 that is out-of-state. The body and interior look pretty nice in the photos, but I am not going to be able to personally preview it. I want to assume the worst - the...

Pic thread? Looking for m1009's with minimal lift.

Here's my son's M1009 with 33x12.5/R15 and no lift. This is how we bought it 2 & 1/2 months ago and I haven't noticed any rubbing. I'd like to stay with this tire size but add a 2" lift and spacers on the back wheels.

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately? - Part 1

Hey, do repairs done by a mechanic count?

    Tires?

Is Tire Rack just an online seller? I'm assuming that Kauffman's price includes install, etc. And there's also $65.00 in rebates available.

    Tires?

I want 33x12.5x15, and Kaffman Tires lists them for $170.00 each. I'm checking Tire Rack now.

    Tires?

Hey, I didn't see that you were Social Circle. I was in there about a month ago and I don't remember them mentioning Dura Tracs. Also, Goodyear isn't listed at all on their website. What are you driving?

    Tires?

I'm looking at the same tire too. Seems to be a good tire at a good price.

    Yet another tire size/lift question

Would I need and additional mods with a 2" suspension lift?

    Yet another tire size/lift question

Can you do a 3" suspension lift without any steering or linkage, or any other modifications? Stated another way, how much can you lift before you have to do modifications to other parts of the M1009?

    Yet another tire size/lift question

I'd love to see any old photos, if you have them.

    Yet another tire size/lift question

Ok, after even more research I'm thinking keep the 33/12.5R15 with a 2" Tuff Country suspension lift (blocks in the back - cheaper and I'm going mostly for looks). Or, could I run 35/12.5R15 on a 3" lift? I would welcome anyone's first hand knowledge and PHOTOS (did I mention I'm going mostly...

    Yet another tire size/lift question

Hey everyone, I did check several pages of threads before posting these questions, but didn't find the specific answers. I recently bought a M1009 that came with 33/12.5R15 size tires and no lift. I really like the tire width, and the overall height isn't bad either. Plus, I haven't noticed...

    Any M1009 owners running 32 11.50 15 tires?

We've (son and I) have only had our M1009 for 3 weeks. It came with 33x12.5R15. We haven't noticed any rubbing.

How noisy is your 6.2 lit. M1009

HUH?! WHAT DID YOU SAY?!

33x10.5 R15 tires on stock CUCV

We've (my son and I) had our M1009 for just 3 weeks. It came with the 33x12.5R15 shown in the photo

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately? - Part 1

Last week my son mentioned that the generator 1 was staying on while he drove. A few days passed before I could check it and by then he's saying it won't crank. Turns out it was the driver's side alternator belt - broken. Replaced it and both (I think they're called) door striker bolts...

    Burning B20 in my M1009

I think I'm going to buy a couple of fuel filters, keep an eye on the hoses, and give it a try.

    Burning B20 in my M1009

Well ok, but other than that... ;) So, would you run B20 from a National Biodiesel Board retailer in your '85 M1009 without modifications?

    Burning B20 in my M1009

I'm liking this more and more. Mangus580, do you have personal experience with biodiesel in your vehicles?

    Burning B20 in my M1009

I do! Right here in my county; less than 10 miles from the house. If I can save (a little) money and use a rational renewable resource without messing up my engine, I'm all over it! :)
