it was tight but i traced the cause to the fact that i removed the old hose and drain and just installed on the new filter base i just installed.
there is a small difference between the old and new. i just chalk it up to laziness on my part not switching the drain line.

i have recently purchased (and returned) the AC 60 glow plugs. the spade connnectors are wider than the oem plugs and you can either grind them all down or purchase the wellmann 070's. i chose to install the wellmann 070's and now only have a fuel issue to manage.

i must be cutting my teeth the old fashioned way .... with lots of frustration.
i had a fuel filter base leak which i have just replaced with a new base & filter from oem surplus.
i disconned the 'pink' wire connect some clear tubing to the bleeder valve and start...
wow ... time warp.
where did you find such a nice M1009? there is not even any oxidation on the engine components.
very nice! i thought mine was a good find although i do not want to know how much it cost.

recently purchased a M1009 with 23,000 miles from GL. checked the fluids first then started, drove and even came with a full tank of fuel. trailered it home swept out all the trash and now the work begins. 4wd works as well...
