Well me and my dad have come to the agrement that the pittly lil charger we have just cant cut it. I said well ill try her one more time and cranked her over, pour old start tryin as hard as it can then VROOOM fired up coughed a few time and away she went, with that beutiful clatering high...
Thanks for the help every one, i tried to start her up and she really tried to run. Iv bleed the whole system and what im thinking is there is just alot of air left in the lines, and priming the low side used so much battery power i dont have enough left to crank the engine fast enough to over...
Iv searched SS, TM's and every else that i could find and no luck. Im not incompident with trucks i just graduated a diesle tech school and im about to start welding school monday and my CUCV wont start. I just replaced the lift pump the armiture failed and the push rod slid off so i replaced...
yep the 4.0 was a Cuningham, my dad has a 96 with the smaller vulcan and its a awsome lil truck. I do have to agree with you the engine will NEVER die but a lil ranger is'nt a tank and im sure it didnt take to a derby to well.
I'd like to know what happened, my truck did the same thing today. Swaped out fuse's for new one's (triple checked) and replaced stuck high beam switch. When i went to turn on the lights for a functions test the turn single indicators flashed the went out and all the out side lights wont come...
Not to jump back a few posts but K9Vic is right the only thing that matters is that the truck runs, drives and is road safe, once you get it squared away then do what you do. dont be afriad to ripe in to that truck it's as simple as it gets reson being, i wanted to know what was in the dash...so...
I dont know about your stroker, but if it's a 95 explore it's most likley got a vulcan or cuningham in it which both really good engines. To counter your point my best friend had a 86 Volvo 240 wagon that hit 380,000 miles then the odometer died, and he drove it dialy for eight more years. That...
Today i went to a Brownings Alternators & Starter Service to have my CUCV's alternators rebuilt. Did'nt think to much at first becuse the small size of the shop but.... I walked in, alternator in each hand set them on the counter and befor i could say some thing a fella named Dave (if i...
Just a quick tip NEVER do the Lucas oil "trick" it's bull. Just good old snake oil sale, marketing crap. There's no truth in it, no more then the "fuel booster" and "sea foam" its all smoke and mirrors to get your money and thats all it is.
Ill agree with half of what you said, but unless the fluid your useing is different then all the others there all filled with detergent just about. Your right about the drian and fill thats harmless and doing it a few times acheves the same result as a flush, D&F is i think 60% affective the...
Sounds good, do the H pipe all V8's love scavenging between the engine banks. It will give you a lil more low end but not much and a much happier engine. When you really boil it down i think all that matters is whats best for the truck.
A lil info on the tranny flush, dont do it. all the crude does act as a sealer, more importent then that is that it's building the hydrolic presure needed for it to operate with all thouse old parts by flushing it you risk removing the build up and thously droping the hydrolic presure to the...
I think i down loaded that, its been crazy the past few days, but i should kick back and read some of the army's good'ol 8th grade leval literature. Very imformative but mind numbing.
Im 50/50 id go 2.5 all the way back, what i was all ways told is diesel's love to breath more so the a gas engine. IMO i love scavenging, H pipes are good for low end but id consider X pipes to help out on high end. though im not sure if a 6.2 will get high enogh RPM's for a X pipe to do much...
Awsome thanks, and for the sticky. I looked at and saved all of them. I agree it looks cool but i have no use in any of it so out it comes, i like it simple.
What in the world is the plug (diagnostic) i think in the cab on the bottom of the dash, Sry i just got the truck two days ago and am still learning it. Allso why is the glow plug mod in the cab next to it? im moving it some were out of the way later in the week.
IMO a M35 is a road monster and a rollin behemoth and THATS AWSOME, i just got a CUCV from boyce the folks there are great. Mark the owner tried as hard as he could to get me down there and pick up the truck my self for a meet and greet, nicest people ever. But as far as the suspension i looked...
