Well its time. If I can find a set of front springs and hangers I'll be dropping an axle on the 818 making a shorty out of it. I would appreciate any tips or pics from any of you other rig cutters out there. Thanks!

M series % ton wheel nut torqe

I had to remove a wheel off my truck and broke the bud wrench. I ended up putting a 5ton floor jack beneath the end of the 5' cheater bar on the 3/4" drive breaker bar. The last 3, I had to pull the truck forward to get them to break (bent the hell out of every thing but the floor jack) the last...

Sept. 13th Silver Lake, MI. MV show

Sorry I didn't make it this year. My family is all up to go camping but the fear of drowning in a leaky tent kept us from going. I hope it wasn't a complete wash out. Cheers - Pappa-g

    Need a voltage regulator!

The generator puts out either battery voltage or 30.2V with nothing in between. Here is the stock # 2920-01-180-8666 REGULATOR 60Amp. I saw that Southern Automotive was selling them on E-bay but wont sell to a Michigan address, whats up with that??? Thanks - Pappa-g

    PTO output seal

I got one from Memphis Equipment, it cost around $13 if I remember right. Mine must have been leaking for a while. When I got the truck from DRMO the trans was 2 gallons low on fliud! but it took only minutes to pull and swap the seal so it was an easy fix. Good Luck!

    engine help

Mine was also very slow on throttle response. So I drained the old fuel and changed the filter. HUGE DIFFERENCE! Also run some fuel conditioner through it and go for a 50 mile drive so every thing warms up nicely. Circulating the clean fuel through things made a world of difference for me. The...

    tach cable adapter

My tach cable on my 250 Cummins M818 mounts verticaly on the injector pump, about 2" above and forward of that is the air compressor out put line. Well needless to say the tach cable is "geeked" and wont turn because of the interferance with the air line. I got a replacement cable from "M.E" and...

    LMTV

I haven't had a chance to see the armored version of the LMTV but we did get to do some off road driving this past week end in the 2.5ton cargo. They are very impressive. Talk at a regular level while doing 60mph. Have a female driver that weighs 90lbs soaking wet two finger steer it through the...

Once I had talked to Will it took 30 minutes to adjust all the valves and injectors. Started up and ran fine. Put a...
