I met an old guy who lived on the ocean in Ponce Inlet Florida. He was the original owner of a 1969 dodge dart he kept in his garage, and drove regularly. The car was like new inside & out and still in it's original paint. No small feet for Florida, much less buy the ocean. Apparently he liked...
*Update* As of this morning the gauge lights are still working, but ten minutes into my drive the GEN2 light is back on. Can I just buy a new printed circuit board?
*Disclaimer* Electrical is NOT my thing:shrugs:. So about 2 months ago my GEN2 light dimly lit, and not sure if it was at the same time? But I noticed shortly after my gauge lights stopped working. Well tonight, at the end of a 100 mile trip the gauge lights came on and the GEN2 light is out...
There are several remote oil filter kits on the market, you just have to order one for a 454 chevy engine. Here's a basic one....https://www.summitracing.com/int/parts/der-15715/overview/?cm_mmc=pla-google-_-shopping-_-srese1-_-derale-cooling-products
Yeah I worked at those shops in the early 90's. The new Chevy Lumina vans were like that. And also one of the more difficult filters to get to, to bootaua
As a kid I worked at a Jiffy lube, and a Texaco Xpress lube. Each did about 30 cars per day. I saw A LOT of wacked out things & people working at those places. But I never had an oil filter I couldn't get off, or on. We used oil filter pliers, they come in 2 sizes, here's what they look...
I saw the thread on the AN fittings, and it was cool. But I drive my M1028 all over the state of Georgia. And for the wearable items I try to use parts that I can find on the shelf of any parts store. That way if I'm 100 miles away from home and have a problem, I can pull off any exit and make...
Sorry but it's a head gasket:shrugs:. It will slowly get worse, pushing brown, contaminated, coolant out into the recovery tank. I drove my M1028 for a year until it couldn't take it any more. I got really good at taking the recovery tank off and refiling the radiator every morning.
I don't see much mud packed in there:whistle: LOL! I think your thinking this pan hangs down low? But it doesn't, It's the same as the stock CUCV pan. So if your not smacking that one this one wouldn't either, and also it's slightly thicker steel then stock as well. I've run mine for around...
(Internally cooled) The tubes run completely through the inside of the pan, and are essentially in a bath of trans fluid. Vs an external, remote, trans cooler. I can't imagine the tubes getting clogged that easy? Perhaps no worse then a trans cooler in front of the radiator. But they are easy...
Do they have the over load spring on top like the stock ones? If so, you may have clearance issues with the U-bolt flip and the bump stop, if your not lifting the truck.
The way the banks kit plumbs it, is into a large ram air box and the CDR is outside of the filter. The box also has drain holes in the bottom incase it sucks up water through the intake hose.
