It never has problems starting but if I have one mine as well use it at 5*, but I am confident it would start at 5* as it takes about 1 sec of cranking to get going at 40*.
Yup it was in the wiki
"2. What size freeze plug heater?
41mm"
I live in az so I am thinking of a 600w freeze plug heater. I have yet to have difficulty starting it in 50-40 degree weather, but would like to install a heater for going up to the mountains. What is the correct size for a freeze plug heater? I know the ones from napa are supposed to be a good...
You can also install the sensor in the place where the idiot light sensor is installed (front drivers head). Thats where I put mine and it was about a 10 min job ;-).
It did have wvo in it for a day about a year ago but mixed to 60/50 with diesel. I thought most of the lines were steel and the ones that weren't were black rubber ones.
Ok it runs again. The pinched fuel line was the problem for low power, but the filter is still clogging about once a week. Should I keep cleaning it and wait till it is all out or drop the tank and clean it (never done it before, but sounds like a lot of time)?
Here is a pic from 2 miles of...
What is it and the guy said he doesn't have any papers. Can I get a title or is it not worth it? The guy says it is a 1.5 ton with air brakes.

How could I go about testing the water in fuel sensor? I have the notorious lean from the pressure sensor on the block and am debating on just plugging the hole for the sensor and using the base or getting something else with a water separator and sensor to use. If the base is working besides...
Yes I was not using the sensor, just the location to add my new sensor. There are other locations to hook to as well that don't require moving sensors.
Well I am in the process of hooking up the old filter block to get my water in fuel light back in operation. I also just finished checking fuel flow from the lift pump according to the tm and i doubled the minimum requirement. I am also installing a coolant temp gauge cause I dont trust the...
Which coolant sensor is the idiot light for overheating connected to. I want to replace it with the probe for my temp gauge. I know there are two sensors on the block and one is drivers head rear and one is forward drivers head. Which is the idiot light one? I have read things where people...
Here is how I did my tape deck. Ask if you have any questions. You might to invest in a voltmeter so you don't accidentally tap into 24v and burn up your electronics.

I didn't explain it well. It is the part that can be pushed in on the bottom left side (if you are looking towards the back of the truck). It is under the vacuum throttle position valve. It is #4 on this image.
How is this supposed to work? When the engine is cold the plunger on the right side of the ip is out and the idle up server is giving it throttle. If I push the plunger in the motor gets a lot quieter. It also seems like when the engine is hot the plunger is in the same outward position. Where...
Ok I just did some work on it. I checked the return line check valve (glass bead) and it looked brand new with no crap on it and when I pushed it with the end of a file it moved back and forth freely. I also opened the bleeder on the tank for siphoning water and what not and then using about...
If you rev then engine and hold your hand in front of it or a piece of paper the exhaust is not humid (steam) and the paper doesn't get damp, it is bone dry and just smells like diesel.
I checked that last night and it was a steady trickle. It was the same as it was about a month ago when it was running fine. Also the truck seems to make White smoke at high rpms not the black haze it used to make. Coolant is fine with no bubbles or oil or loss and it doesn't have a history of...
