    Cadmium plating question

This place in Reading,PA used to do small lot or even one of a kind jobs. READING PLATING & POLISHING WORKS, 610-372-0270. Haven't been by the place in years but the number came from a 2007-2008 phone book. Good Luck.

    WMO recovery, How do you...

Uh, i may have missed something, but, if the tank full of the waste oil is already 8 to 10 feet off the ground, why do you need a pump at all? Just connect the transfer hose to the bottom outlet of the storage tank, hang the other end in the tote tank on the back of the truck and open the valve...

Just blew the rear in my '86 m1009

Coleman's in Millersburg,Pa had NOS axle assemblies in the crate for the M-1009. Both fronts and rears. They are complete, hub to hub, and were $395 each, on the website a few weeks ago. The freight to RI might be a deal breaker though. My inspection guy said i couldn't buy the bearings and...

    Cheep batteries

i live about four miles from the deka factory in Lyons,Pa. Last time i was there was Feb. 08 for a pair of 2nd's for the M-1009. I think they are group 31's, about 1050 or 1150 CCA. And the pair was less than a C-note. They sat on the garage floor all summer with no charging,(the truck was...

Update to UPDATE;My new m1009 ( already knee deep)

Had a similar problem on my 1009. I had to replace the starter and i used new bolts from the chevy store. No torque wrench or any such high tech device, just tightened them up. A few weeks later i noticed a half a broken bolt in the snowy mess where the truck had been parked. Fearing the worst...

    6.2 Injector Pump Inlet Fitting

Greetings, all. Does anyone know the thread size of the fuel inlet fitting on the back of the injector pump? I need to replace some rubber lines soon and the line between the fuel filter and the IP looks to be a bit of a bear to get to. I'm leaning towards braided hose and A-N fittings. I don't...

    CUCV Shackles $?

Colemans in Millersburg,PA had some gavanized shackles with 1" dia. cotter key secured bolt and nut pins. They are NOT the correct shackles and DO require some grinding to fit the square tube mounts. But they do work. And they were only $6 if memory serves. Colemans does ship i believe.

    Water-in Fuel sensor wiring

New guy here working on an 85 or 86 M-1009. It had some glow plug issues which had been attempted to be fixed by the previous owner by running them on 12 volts. I got hold of the manuals and restored the 24-volt wiring, but i put the small orange wire on the hot side of the GPR. D'oh. Eventually...
