I'm interested in one of those reverse switches!

I lucked out recently, and picked one up for $400... shipping was almost the same. It was from a private individual, and it was his last one... (in green, so that decided the color for the hmmwv.... no camo for me, unfortunately) Good luck on the search! Paul

So, the previous paint job was a bit on the "sloppy" side, and they didn't mask off the gauges very well... I'm repainting the hmmwv 383 green, and want the gauges to look better than what I'm currently working with.... Is there a paint stripper that I could use on the gauges that will not mess...

I'm slowly prepping my hmmwv for paint, and I've noticed that several of the seams between body panels are sealed with something that I assume was at one point flexible... it has dried out and is crumbling in places, and I'd like to replace it before painting.... What is this stuff, or what...

I have a question for you... I looked at all of my seats, and I have 2 with longer bolts, and 1 with shorter... I assumed that the longer was for the passenger side because it was in the box with the drivers seat, but now I'm wondering if the shorter bolts are for the front passenger seat.... in...

Well, I started, and I had a somewhat complicated setup of brackets and a piece of rubber between the bracket and the lid... In the back of my mind I was thinking... "double check that the bolts are the same on all of the seats..." I measured and fabbed the brackets using the front passenger...

I ordered this set... they are great! I'm planning on installing them next week... I'll let you know how it goes...

I'm planning on using Gillespie 383 green on my 1987 m1038 4 man soft top.... it is currently off-white. I'll be painting the whole truck, inside and out.... I'm wondering if 3 gallons of green will be sufficient, as I wanted to get a mixed 4 pack of 3 green and 1 black to do everything...

Oh, BTW, I would love to find a hard top for it too.... we have very wet winters here in Oregon... I found a great helmet top here in the classifieds, and the price was right... FREE!! of course someone else got it several days before I saw the ad.... But we're still looking for one.

I ordered a green 4 man soft top... it should be here by friday. I also ordered 4 high back seats... I really need a new driver's seat!! my pistol keeps getting caught in the springs... I guess its a secondary retention device in case the seat belts fail.... LOL I'm tracking down a green...
