Took my son out on some trails. Turned out that one of the trails were closed (ugh). Luckily forest service let me off with a warning after talking to me about the HMMWV for about 30 min. Anyway, a few pictures.

As far as price, there are a lot of things to consider there. One big factor besides the obvious mechanical condition is if it is already licensed in your state or not. This can be a deal breaker sometimes. I know in Florida they tend to cost more if they're already licensed due to how difficult...
I've never been to this actual park, but is this not what the waiver is for? I know the off road parks that I have been to make you sign a waiver to cover themselves to prevent a lawsuit.
It really IS nearly impossible with something up there (but it can be done)… one of the hinges on my hood will not come out so I had to do mine with my hood on and that was a nightmare! This is the reason that I do not want to take it back off right now. I need to get to the hose that goes to...
I had some big holes with wires coming through them in mine as well. I plan on putting grommets in, but in the meantime I used liquid electrical tape to fill the holes and keep the wires from rubbing. Working great. Keeps the big splashes out when playing in water.

You can always have both so that you have the loudness in the event you actually need it (and for the inspection), but still have your “beep beep”. I wired mine to a separate button that I mounted in an ammo box that I mounted to the radio tray.

I’m not 100% on the OEM horn as mine has never worked since getting her home. What I ended up doing though which can definitely be heard is installing a set of Hella horns, they were cheap and very loud.

Thank you... I was searching by the brand of my monitor (Dallux) but couldn’t find any 4 pin ones. Want to add one to front for getting into tight spaces since my monitor allows me to switch between them. I added this to my amazon HMMWV list

Unfortunately I don’t as it was already installed when I purchased the vehicle. I’ve been trying to figure it out myself for other accessories but haven’t been able to. They did install a converter with a 12v fuse box so I use that when I can.
I do know that it has an empty slot for an...
CONGRATS... I am not sure how dead set you are on keeping everything "original", but I will tell you that one of the best things I have on mine is the backup camera. Mine is actually hooked up where it is on anytime the truck is on so it also works as my rearview mirror.
I agree, My wife got me mine for me to drive and I do drive it almost every day (just not on the highway anymore). I go to the store and all the other stuff you mentioned, but you don't need to spend that much to be able to do that. I know we found mine on Craigslist for 10k. Yes I've had to do...
I too live in FL and believe it really depends on your local office. I was deployed when my wife took mine in to register it and they did not even go outside to look at it. Only problem they had was they couldn’t find HMMWV in their system so it is registered as an AM General Pickup.

When it comes to FL, I honestly think it depends on your regional offices. some offices have no issues doing it and others refuse. From reading the posts on here, there have been some nightmares that have happened, but others have had no issues at all. I personally would give it a shot as at...
Thank you so much ... turns out I was using the right puller, but simply needed to use an impact wrench with it. Still needed to rent the other tool for pressing it back on though. Got it changed out now just need to flush the system and try to fix my leak at the fan clutch before putting it...
When I got mine it already had the XM381 installed and I’ve never had any issues. I like the fact that I have options for pretty much any connection. Here are some pictures of my setup
The unit itself mounted under truck
12v connections
24v connection

I'm so sorry, I saw this looking at the forum on the Tapatalk app and it is sometimes difficult to see exactly where they are posted on that app. Will make sure to double check that from now on. Sorry for any confusion.
