Changed my 10W fluid to Dexron III this weekend

I finally finished my 3rd fluid change for the trans. I do notice that it shifts smoother, but it seems to run hotter (around 270 or so just driving around town). I noticed that the trans temp gets moving while she is warming up well before engine temp moves off the bottom. I thought it might...

    M35A3 Owners unite

I have been worried a bit about my temp. Mine runs around 270 to 275 around town. I am 2/3rds of the way through changing to DEX III.

    m35a3 normal operating temperature

I bought my A3 earlier this year and have been going through her to check all fluids and functions. I am 2/3rds through swapping the transmission fluid from engine oil to DEX III. Recently, I have noticed higher transmission temps. As I searched the SS forum, I see some information that says...

    New Guy

Mr. Morgan is one lucky man. While my wife is VERY supportive, there is no alternative reality in which I can imagine her saying "I'll get my purse" as she headed out the door to snag a Deuce. Good on you!

    New Guy

I will add my welcome as well. I joined the ranks earlier this year with the purchase of an A3. I can not overemphasize what has been said. Read, Read, Read, Search, and then Read some more. The trucks are awesome. I enjoy driving and wrenching on mine. That said, know what you are getting...

    M35A3 Steering "Pop"

I have the same thing on my A3. I have tried lubing at the zerk fitting near the boot right behind the front axle (on the steering link). It seems to lessen, but not eliminate the pop.

    M35a3 wheel o-rings

I have not been asked about payment. Did I miss the cut off as well? Thanks for coordinating all this. If I did miss the cut off, please put me in the next wave. Kind Regards, -Economist

Why do you love your deuce?

5 - It makes my 7 year old grin from ear to ear 4 - Utility 3 - Patriotism 2 - Sheer enjoyment (sound, smell, working on it, etc) 1 - Did I mention how my 7 year old smiles every time we drive it?

    Solenoid Contact metal

I don't know how to link a post, but a couple of months ago, I had a long series of posts on how I did exactly that. I pulled the disk, resurfaced it on my lathe (now I know not to breathe the dust in!) and reinstalled. It works like a charm. I resurfaced both sides so that I can just flip it...

    M35A3 super shimmy!

I am new to the A3 ownership, so maybe this is too basic. My shimmy came from there being no counterweight. The weight was on the spare. When I pulled it off and installed on the offending tire, the shimmy was gone. Hope that helps.

So how about it SS'ers? Anyone have a box like "number9" has on the front of his trailer that I can buy?

Can you give me any leads on where to pick up a tool box as shown in your photos on the post quoted above? Many thanks.

    Budd nut from ****

Thanks for the link. I just ordered one of the wrenches. Given the amount of time and money I have spent trying to get the lug nuts off, I hope this solves the problem. I will let you know when I give it a test run.

    M101A3 - cargo anchor install

I really like what you did with the trailer. I have a M101A3 as well. I swapped out the tail lights with the LED's. It works great. I pig-tailed in a 12, 7 pin connector. This allows me to either hook it up to my M35A3 or my Hummer. My current dilemma is trying to attach a lighted license...

    Engine RPM Governor

The SF-97 says 1995, so I am kinda stuck with that year. I took it to emissions testing. Had to do the goofy rev deal. She passed with flying colors. Off to get titled and registered next week. Thanks for the quick responses. This board is excellent resource. Cheers!

    Engine RPM Governor

Non-commercial use, but in AZ it is required to have emissions to get registered (in Maricopa, Co. If I had a choice, I would not do it on any of my vehicles, but to get registered, have to do what the "MAN" says...
