    Drained and put fresh fluids in the differentials with my 8 year old grandson as apprentice. Also gave him his first experience with a grease gun as I cleaned the zerks ahead of him. A good day for the 2 of us So, I notice the fan clutch stays engaged from the time the engine starts till turned...

    There really want much crud in the cooling system, a welcome surprise. With no way of knowing when the last service took place, better to be safe than sorry. Good idea on the dome light :goodjob:

    Nothing exiting to report: Performed a radiator / cooling system cleanse, changed out the radiator and heater hoses ( that short one is a PITA) and filled with new coolant /water mix. A man just feels better knowing none of those new components should fail him in the next several years

    Windshield washer pump was rusted out and non functional. Replaced it and good to go.

    Upon inspection, the dust boot on one of the tie rods ends was partially missing, and there was "play" on that same tie rod end, so I replaced the entire assembly . The idler arm, pitman arm, and other steering components seem to be in good shape

    Tie rod assembly removed and replaced. I had a tie rod separator fork but no amount of pressure this old man could apply was adequate to keep the bolt from turning, so grinding wheel saved the day. On to the next task ( long list to go) Thank for the tips Gentlemen

    So.......I purchased a replacement front tie rod assembly. One tie rod end popped loose with minimal effort, but the other tie rod stud spins with the nut. GRRR, any suggestions? Changing my handle to Lucky
