Replaced the fan clutch solenoid, bled the system, cranked the engine up and instantly blew the main seal on the fan clutch. Hyd. fluid everywhere.
I'm guessing I have to remove the oil cooler and radiator to access the fan clutch. How difficult of a job is this?

A little cosmetic and a little mechanical done today. Oil & filter change / air filter change - no telling when Uncle Sam last serviced it. There was no date marked on the filter as typically seen.

mine is stubborn too. It will not gently lock into place. I have to throttle it up and bring it back hard to lock it in place, and it sometimes takes several attempts. Others may chime in will a more gentle procedure, but that's what works for me .
Made my afternoon walk around of the MVs and noticed a large amount of my 5 ton hood insulation on the ground. Raised the hood and out popped a red fox. Remnants of a portion of the tomatoes from our garden half eaten on top the cummins. Does anyone know a source for replacement hood insulation...
